hey guys,

Pre-ordered at 5:10am EST, got the confirmation email instantly after that. Order status (on both premier and AT&T) has been the same ever since "Processing." No pre-authorization on my amex. here are some screen grabs... is this usual?

I ordered within 15 minutes of you and our ordered are exact, except I got a 32gb phone. We should be good, but who knows. I had a pending charge, but I haven't checked today to see if it remains or not. Does *639# still say eligible for you?
 
I don't even have any of these tables on my order status page, and I ordered the morning of the 15th (around 6:30 AM). Does this just mean mine hasn't be prepared yet?

After watching all the hoopla I thought I'd add my two cents...

I tried several times on the 15th to order mine and kept getting an error, so I gave up. Around noon I checked my email and I had like 3 canceled order e-mails so I thought I must have gotten one through if they canceled all the others. I obsessively check my order status...it's been "In Progress" since the 15th with a 15th order date.

I'm actually on the phone with an ATT rep right now. He is telling me I got my order in on the 15th at 7:44 am and as far as he can tell it will be at my apartment on the 24th. I've called ATT a couple time in the past month, I was gonna get the EVO for Sprint and they offered me a different plan, then I called to accept the plan after ordering my phone and now to see if I needed to take off work to make sure I get it (bc some delivery companies will take it back to their warehouse if you aren't there to sign for it). Once you get a tracking number you can follow it all the way to your house. ATT's customer service people have actually been extremely helpful and polite.

So I would say that "In Progress" ordered on the 15th is a good sign for anyone.

The weird thing is he said they sold out of the white phone :D but I'll chalk that up to not being an iPhone nerd like us knowing it was never available in the first place. Remember that customer service reps are low man on the information totem pole.....:D

Still waiting for it to say, "Processing Shipping" or something a long them lines.

I ordered early on the 15th and they said I will have it the 24th, I hope they are right. I talked to some other lady the other day from a different store and she was ignorant as hell to me. She was like, "Um, yeah iPhones are all on backorder, you won't see it until the 28th or the 1st of July." I was like well I waited in line for four hours to get it on release day and she just kept giving me an attitude.

I will be PISSED if I don't get it on the 24th, especially since I took off work for that day already.

Mine sill says eligible. I'm jjust gonna call either Monday afternoon or Tuesdays and I expect some answers surely by then. They don't deserve my sympathy at this point for such a Cluster***k of a launch :mad:

Ordered 5:09 pm PST at an AT&T store. Their systems had just come back online (the rep had a good sized stack of paper pre-orders she was just starting to go through). I have an auth charge on my credit/debit card. I have not checked to see if it has fallen off. Never received an email confirmation. ATT rep said I would most likely not see one as I ordered in store. He also said he could not guarantee when I would receive the phone, but said I still had a good chance of delivery on the 24th or 25th.
 
give me a break here... we are posting in this forum and on this site for the sheer reason we are excited for this new product.... no one wants to wait and everyone hates waiting for something thats brand new.....

if we pre ordered it on the 15th early and we dont get it, we have every right to bitch

if you're still eligible... have you tried pre-ordering on Apple's website?

I heard some people were able to order more than one and have them shipped to their house?
 
That's weird.

My ATT status is showing 2 orders, both with the same order number. Anyone else seeing that?
 
I notice a lot of people bought there iphone from att site. Well I bought mine from the apple store...

was not rude or offensive, but you dont have to rain on our parade about having to wait for our iphones.... if u want to compare an iphone to a kidney or liver, im sure theres other forums out there where u can pi** is someone elses cheerios:D

I would order but would not get it until July 14th.

The funny thing is, i've got a reserve for my brothers phone at apple now and he gets off at 3:00pm on the 24th and mine through AT&T with F***ing question marks surrounding when we get ours through the mail and the reps are about as smart as a granola bar. Who got the short end of that stick? :mad:
 
Ordered on launch day around 1:30 am PST

never got confirmation email and got charged $1 on my credit card

called yesterday and they gave me my order number and said it takes awhile to process

today, still not processed, called them, on the phone for 2 hours, and still they havent updated the order, kept getting that error that doesnt recognize i made any order

then now its finally processing AT&t just charged or put a hold for my credit card for $254.XX

I wonder if they had issues at first with early charges. I ordered mine at 2:00 am pst the 15th and I just got charged yesterday and received confirmation. I called and made sure they were going by when it was ordered, not billed and they said they shipped by time stamp when the order was placed. Has anyone actually received something saying you'd get it on the 24th for a ship date? My completed order said this,

"Pre-orders for iPhone® 4 and iPhone 3GS 8 GB will be processed to arrive as early as June 24, 2010, if submitted by 2 p.m. ET, June 22, 2010. The actual shipment date and receipt of your order is not guaranteed and may be subject to delays for reasons that include, but are not limited to, product availability, inventory, credit issues, number porting or carrier delays, and completion of other required AT&T business processes."

The email confirmation and the order status, however are not confirming a shipping date. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

OK so heres the deal, i wanna make this REALLY CLEAR. i ordered mine at 5am ET on Tuesday morning after several failed attempts at the apple site. i am a new customer and i went thru in less that 3 minutes. i got the confirmation immediately after. later in the day i checked to see if i could see my order and it couldnt find it and my card wasnt charged so i decided to check back in 24 hours like it said and sure enough i was charged and my ordered said it was in progress. but it ALSO said back ordered and i panicked a little bit. came back a couple hours later and then it wasnt backordered anymore. so i assumed i was good to go. THEN my boyfriend noticed it said my order date was 6/16 when we both know that wasnt true because we both ordered ours at the same time (seperately) so then i called at&t and i was told by 3 representatives (i called 3 or 4 times to make sure i got a consistant answer) and they all said that the order date on the order status DOES NOT MATTER. the thing that matters is the TIME STAMP on your order which they could see in their systems. your time stamp is when exactly you placed the order and mine was 502 am on the 15th. this is what they go by when shipping NOT THE ORDER DATE ON YOUR ORDER STATUS. so pleeeease stop worrying.the actual time is recorded and they know who ordered first and what not...okay? okay:D

If I remember correctly, AT&T does not have an intermediary status between "processing" and "shipped" like Apple does. It will say Processing until the day it's shipped. Then it will change to Shipped, indicate what company was used to ship and provide a tracking number.

This probably won't happen till Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on what shipping method they use (and what day they've 'arbitrarily' decided you shall receive your new device- I obviously don't trust AT&T to follow the 'orders will be processed in the order they were received' line).
 
I got my order in around 10am on the 15th and mine shows order date or 6/18/2010. Mine doesn't show backordered either. Hopefully it will arrive on the 24th.

Take it for what its worth. I just spoke to an ATT rep about when my credit card would be charged and when I could expect the phone. I pre-ordered on 6/15 and he said that I should be getting the phone on the 24th. He said that I would have been notified if I didn't meet the "cut-off" time.
 
My Process

Began my order attempts promptly at 4am est. Had success at 10:30am est. Very, very frustrating.

Received a confirmation email from at&t.

Credit card company froze my account due to multiple attempts by at&t to charge my account and I promptly received an email from at&t about needing to correct the problem. Told my credit card co that all was well and then spent 2 hours on hold before at&t pre authorized the payment.

I was unable to check my order status for nearly 2 days but finally received the following message as well as three separate emails (one for each phone number) from at&t. Even though my order was on the 15th, the status email reflects the 16th.

All in all, not sure what will happen, but feel fairly confident that I'll at least make the first round of shipments.
 
If I lost the original credit card I used for preorder and authorization, does that mean my order will mess up since they will try to charge that invalid card or is that not how cards work?
 
7:58AM confirmation, ordered and backordered = 1

Just wanted to add another datapoint.

Ordered my phone through the Premier website just shy of 8AM EST and received confirmation at 7:58AM. Phone is showing as in progress, ordered AND backordered. Somehow, the order number originally sent does not match the order number on the status page. That and the date is 6/18/2010 and my card was only charged today.

After reading about the (possible) critical nature of the TIME of the order, I called AT&T to confirm my order time since I can't see it on the order status page. The operator had no idea and no means of checking the time.

He did say that as long as my order was in progress then I should be ok.

I'm still nervous and will be checking the order page so often that AT&T's servers may go down again.

If you lost the card after already placing your order and have told your credit card company, yes, you probably will have problems. AT&T will not be able to charge to your card (and thus, won't get your money), so they won't ship the order and it will most likely be cancelled.
 
Got my email confirmation of my Premier order at 8:47 AM Arizona time June 15th - status says order date is June 16 and it is ordered and backordered...

I purchased a 32gb phone at a local AT&T store in Springfield, VA. at around 11:00 am the 15th. The charge has shown up on my bank's web site and my status shows 'In Progress' but not on back order. FWIW.
