My AT&T store manager told me that pickups will be on the 24th in store.....

I would hope the manager of the store would know this.

(I just happed to get the manager as the person whom was the one who took my order)

I dunno... the manager at my AT&T Store emailed me to let me know my order had been processed and he also told me the iPhone would be shipped to my house and to activate it, I would have to call some 800 number, yada yada... I don't think he knows what the hell he's talking about.

FWIW, I preordered in store at around 6pm on the 15th.

my credit card was charged today and i am now view my order on the att website...... but it says the order was placed on june 17 when i placed it early on the 15th ( 530am)

it also says it is on backorder...... i called the regular att number and they werent helpful at all and told me to call premier.. wtf is going on...
 
I preordered at the store.. got an email as I walked out from AT&T that had the guy that took my preordres name and some tutorial on how to use my device..

About 3 hrs later I got an email from AT&T saying it was their busiest day in history with all my order information and how they are trying to get all orders out by the 24th, but that some may get theirs on the 25-28th.


My tracking shows ordered on 6/15 and has it ISNT on backorder. I have the authorization charge on my Chase Credit Card too for $215 (iphone + tax).

I preordered at 2pm CST.


EDIT: I could track my order literally 1 hr after I put in my order.


This is exactly what my situation is as well. I ordered 6/15 around 10 am CST in an AT&T store. My order # starts with XC11*********

Call you AT&T store before you go in... I called mine today and they told me they were all being shipped to peoples' homes unless you didn't have an iPhone before or you're replacing one that's less than a month old. I have the first generation iphone so he told me mine is getting shipped to my house. calling 611 confirmed this. Even though when I preordered in the store they told me I could pick it up there. Whatever, I don't care... my phone better show up on the 24th or 25th or I'm going to be very sad :(
 
Just got off the phone with ATT. I ordered mine on the 15th but my status is showing ordered on the 16th and backordered. They said I was good to recieve the phone on the 24th. They said shipping will begin on the 22nd and my credit card will be charged then. We'll see!

Strange. Most people's cards have already been charged (or pre-auth'd) at least. Including mine.
 
I called AT&T my self because I wanted to hear it from them. What he stated to me, was that he did see both the Premier order on the 15th, and the non-premiere order on the 16th when my card was charge.

He also said that orders will be shipped out in the order they were received. There was such an overwhelming response to the iPhone4 that they had to suspend online sales so that they could "catch up". But he did say that if your order date on the non-premiere site is before the 17th, you will get you phone shipped by the 24th. Since it's overnight shipping, you should have it no later then the 25th. He also stated, that if you don't have an email confirmation re: shipment, then you should call the Premier Support number (1-866-499-8008) with your order number (which was a completely different number then what was listed on the premier and non-premier websites.

He said that any orders placed after the 17th in the system would be shipped after July 2nd.

Interesting information! I'm hoping this is correct but who knows, everyone seems to be getting different stories.

Wow I hope this is not true! I ordered mine the first day early morning on the 15th, and ATT Just now put it into the regular system. If I don't have it by the 25th I will be SO pissed! :mad:

Well first of all there were no orders done yesterday as that option has been gone since Wednesday so they only have orders from Tuesday to Wednesday evening.

God I'm really starting to see how incompetent they really are. I would rather have them say we will have it sorted out by Monday evening or Tuesday morning to allow yourself time to plan for any type of changes. Apple is on top of it and no one seems to have a huge issue with there order/

Let it go people. Lets go somewhere this weekend and cool off until at least Monday. After tonight hopefully I won't be back on here until Monday or Tuesday to give my brain some much needed R&R

Processing...........(i'm very confident I'll get mine cuz I ordered it at 230am on release day :D)
 
I kind of skipped ahead, but has it already been mentioned that the "date ordered" is probably the day AT&T processed the pre-order? Mine was done at 4:15pm on the 15th and it shows the 16th on the status check.

I got this email stating the order will be processed in the order it was received, making me imagine AT&T standing back up after getting the wind knocked out of them on Tuesday.. food for thought.

Pre-ordered at 5:10am EST, got the confirmation email instantly after that. Order status (on both premier and AT&T) has been the same ever since "Processing." No pre-authorization on my amex. here are some screen grabs... is this usual?

That's what mine looks like. I'm not worried at this point.

give me a break here... we are posting in this forum and on this site for the sheer reason we are excited for this new product.... no one wants to wait and everyone hates waiting for something thats brand new.....

if we pre ordered it on the 15th early and we dont get it, we have every right to bitch

Not to mention the fact that it shows the puerile nature of AT&T's customer service system and will effect my decisions in the future as to weather or not I will stay with them.
