**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Two orders (16gb) placed via Apple within two-three minutes of each other around 4:15 PST on the 15th. Received both acknowledgement emails together a few hours later, and both went to "prepared for shipment" around the same time.

Now one is shipped and in Alaska, and the other still says "prepared for shipment."

How do I find on the att website about my order? It won't let me use the premier order number, nothing comes up.

When I called att earlier today, they didn't see it, but transferred me to their premier department who was able to look at it.

Is there an option to see it on my att homepage some how instead of through premier?

I ordered the same model 2.5 hours after him and mine is shipped so it definitely couldn't have been sold out when he ordered.

I really don't understand how ATT could of botched this up so badly. It seems the earlier you ordered the more unlikely you are going to get your iPhone first while people who ordered late afternoon like me are already getting theirs shipped. Not that i'm complaining but i feel bad for all the people who ordered so early and are kind of in status limbo.

I live in Los Angeles and I got my tracking numbers yesterday.
Although they still don't show anything on FedEx

You have to use your mobile number on the regular att tracking website

I just got of the phone with ATT CSR, Kyle, in Pennsylvania. He was very very nice.

First, my current status:

Ordered 4:27a CDT on 6/15 from ATT Premier
Premier status: Processing, last updated 6/17
Premier phone status: order is processed and will ship soon
Regular ATT status: order date of 6/16 - 1 Ordered, 1 Backordered (from day one)
Model: 32gb

Kyle said that it looks like my order is prepared to ship out on the 23rd oven though it says backordered. When I asked about why other people who ordered later were getting theirs shipped ahead of some of the earlier orders, he didn't have an answer. He talked to his manager and he also did not have an answer. He seemed confident that I would receive my phone by the 24th even though it says backordered.

I'm going to try to trust what he's said and not worry about it too much. After all, it is just a phone. One day I'll get it. Premier orderers, try to get some rest and not worry about it too much. Best of luck to you all. :)
 
Finally!! Just got tracking number 5 minutes ago. I guess mine is via UPS.

Iphone 4 Black 32 GB
Ordered pen & paper method at AT&T store in Northeast Ohio at about 3 pm on the 15th
Regular customer upgrading from iPhone 3g
Never had a 1 in the backorder column
 
Still worried...

I know some have been posting on here saying not to worry, its just a phone, etc... but for me, I was planning on using it for an upcoming design project. Time is crucial for this, it was going to be a follow-up to my launch day iPad video, check it out here:

My friend order at 11:30pm on the same night with :apple:'s website and her phone is in Achorage (FEDEX) going for delivery
