**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Holy sheet! I finally have a tracking number. I was starting to wonder. It does say it's still In progress for the moment. It's weird b/c my carrier says UPS. I ordered mine at an Att retail store on 6-15-10 at around 10:30 CST, but they had to take my cc info down on paper so I think it reallywent through around 5:30 p.m. My order number/letter starts with an XL.

i got my conformation email on:
Tue, Jun 15, 2010 at 5:42 PM Hawaii time (so that is...like 11:42 PM EST)

Yeah... Mine has a 1 in both the ordered and backordered columns...

At this point I will be happy to just get it this month. I'm giving AT&T the benefit of the doubt until Weds.

Anywho, Carla stated that she showed my iPhone was sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped out. I confirmed with her that she shows that a unit has been ALLOCATED for me. She stated yes it has.

I asked about why TONS and TONS of people's orders have been processed and tracking numbers have been given. She stated that until the iPhone actually leaves the warehouse it's not assigned a tracking number (obviously). I confirmed that it was still on for the 24th and she said, per a meeting and memo that was held today it would be fulfilled by the 24th.

Not sure which ATT rep to believe. I spoke to a Premier Support rep who helped reset my contract expiration date (from 2012 to 2010) and he said that they do not physically have the phones. The shipping notices were based on phone allocations from Apple

I ordered on 6/15 at 8:30 am est, got a confirmation right away. ATT shows ordered received on 6/19 (what a bunch of idiots). The rep could not guarantee when the phone wud ship, but said "it looks like the phone will ship on 24th" I requested that he reset the expiration date and he did. I checked it on the att user info section.

Now i can go and pick up my phone that I have reserved from Apple

Thats what I want to know.

Not sure. Obviously I will return that and get a refund.

What I was wondering is what happens if the phone ships and the CSS is not updated? and while in-transit I pick up my reserrved phone from Apple store?

Either way one of your iphones is going to be a $600 charge.. either from Apple or AT&T.. something I want to avoid but you can't because AT&T won't let you cancel preorders..

Its so stupid.

I think you are mistaken. AT&T released a statement on 6/15 saying orders placed before 1:30 PST would receive their orders on 6/24. Those placed after 1:30 PST/4:30 EST would receive their orders between 6/25 and 6/28.

I ordered in store and have my shipping e-mail. I ordered around 4:30 PM Central time and got my confirmation at 9:03 PM that night.

Yea when I attempted to cancel my preorder.. this is what the store manager told me.


So I geuss its going by purchase time?


Because some people have made preorders in-store and received their order confirmations hours later but they still got tracking.

If this is the case then I should be getting tracking soon but I havent gotten anything yet.

Ive still gotten NOTHING. I did in-store and was 2.5 hrs before your order.. and got my confirmation 2 hrs before you.
