Count me in the group that appears to have been crapped on by Chase's overzealous fraud dept. Ordered a 16g for both of my lines, 6/15 at about 5:30 am via the regular ATT site. Got a call at about 630 from Chase to authorize the charge. Figured all was well, site showed the order as backordered. Woke up the next morning to the order reading cancelled. Called the help line, re-ordered with the same card, was told it went through. Called Chase to ensure no problems with the charge. Status says in progress with quantities listed under backorder. No big deal, i thought. Woke up the next morning to the order reading cancelled again. Called ATT, was told that if the card failed again, the order wouldn't be able to be edited again and permanently cancelled. Also told that they only try to auth a card once before cancelling. On an aside, this is a nice mix of stupidity from both Chase and ATT, chase for me having to unblock the card twice, ATT for only trying each time once, and never alerting me that there was an issue. The card was finally authorized and the order has been listed as in progress, never backordered since (6/17). Checking under my wireless number for order status gives me all three orders, the two cancelled and the latest, in progress. So I have been reading this thread, refreshing frantically all day. Checking the order status every hour or so, with nothing. Still managing to keep my cool until I receive an email. The boxcar notification on my phone says ATT: Let's talk about your new iPhone!. Having read that a ton of people have just gotten some UPS shipping and CSS emails, I think..this is finally it. Only to open the email to see that it is referring to the 3gs that I purchased a year ago. Thanks ATT.
