I ordered 6/15 6am EST. Called web order dept 6/15 around 1pm. The lady manually finished processing my order while I was on the phone, as they had to do them manually due to the enormous workload. This makes me assume that they did them in order, unless you called, like me, and inquired about the status.
Later that day, called porting dept, as I was switching from Alltel. Guy said everything looked good. I once had a porting issue in the past, so I called again. This lady told me that there are 2 separate systems that need to have approval before a number can be ported successfully. She told me I was fortunate to call and check on this, as only 1 system had accepted the port, which would have resulted in my order being kicked back.
I haven't received the shipping e-mail yet, but I'm not concerned. My order status says I ordered on 6/15, shipped 6/19, never back-ordered, and a FedEx tracking number since 4-6am today. I presume I will find an email in the morning.
I have not, however, had any funds taken out of my account. I used a Debit card, but it bears a MasterCard logo, so I presume it is fine. I called my bank several days ago, and they told me that AT&T had sent an authorization, and all was well. I think there may just be a delay on my bank showing the removal of funds. I don't think my order would have been flagged as "shipped" with a number unless everything was all set.
