**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

FedEx has logistics experts (Logistics is the management of the flow of goods, information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of consumers) that meet with Apple before product launches and discuss how distribution will go. Apple produced a certain quantity of phones expecting to sell out. This is not a surprise to Apple, they knew the devices would sell out, and they knew exactly how many devices FedEx would be handling well before the product was even announced.


I doubt it still. It could easily be a mix-up on Apples part. Apple support reps know nothing outside of what they are trained to know, stuff about early arrivals and product launches is pure speculation on the part of the CSR.

Trust me I don't mind waiting for the 24th .... I'm happy as hell either way.
 
I don't understand. Ordered from Premier site at 9:00AM EST on June 15th and mine says backordered still. I was in way before alot of people. This is bullcrap

If you want to feel better call AT&T and they will say your order has already been processed.

"GETTING SCREWED" - give me a break folks - just a wee dramatic aren't we? Still 2 days away from the date you are supposed to receive the phone and you have got zero information indicating anything otherwise??

This gives me a little hope; but mine still says "in process." Ordered at 2:28pm CDT on 6/15.

9:30 am est
via premier

premier still shows processing, olam shows in progress but it has moved off of back ordered

Well then I guess you still have the rest of the work week for them to deliver it right?

Have you heard one word from AT&T that you would not be receiving your phone on time?

Then seriously calm down.

Who else thinks we are likely to see some headlines like this the day the phone is released? I am willing to wager at least one person will lose their life over this.....

People are so emotional over their freaking cell phones...
 
Anyone else's tracking number not working? fedex online doesnt recognize the number AT&T provided me with, and neither is their automated person over the phone.

Any suggestions?

I suggest you chill. I get about 15 packages a week for work and when I first receive the tracking numbers, NONE of them work in the system. Those numbers are generated by the shipper and won't be updated until Fedex picks up the packages and scans them into their system for update.

Given that they are going to be inundated with these, I wouldn't be surprised to see the info get updated after you get your phone.

Just calm down.
 
Just got my "your phone is ready to ship" email from AT&T (I ordered my phone from a local AT&T store on June 15th)...

"Your iPhone order is staged for pickup by our shipping carrier. Your tracking number is shown below.

Because of unprecedented volume, it may be as much as 24 to 72 hours before the carrier can provide any detailed information to you. Please don't be concerned if you visit the carrier's site and specific information about your order is not provided. The information will be updated when the carrier picks up the order at our warehouse.


If you placed an order at one of our stores and asked for the product to be shipped to the store for pick up there, our AT&T sales associate will call you when it has arrived.

As a reminder, here are your order details:"

My tracking number doesn't work, but as the email said it could be up to 72 hours before I can get tracking info (heck it could be here by then).

So that is good news.
 
My iPhone shipped by UPS this morning, and is setting in memphis waiting to be picked up and taken to Louisville.

I have the same exact screen and I ordered the same time as you.....
If this was a pregnancy I would say that "it broke water"....now waiting to see the head :) -- process is on the way !!!

Thanks, I'm just used to ordering things from places like Amazon, and the tracking works as soon as they give it to you. Probably not 600,000+ people ordering sea monkeys at one given time from Amazon lol :cool:

Just somewhat anxious with all the AT&T cancelltaion emails over the weekend, and now people receiving emails saying they're getting them tomorrow, hoping mine goes live today then so I can see if i need to be home tomorrow, or thursday.

AT&T Premier ordered

just got off the phone with AT&T Premier... they told me that my phone was done processing and wont update until shipped. I ordered 1:30 EST on 15th , mywireless said i ordered in the 16th. BTW my mywireless account still says backordered. The customer rep reassured me that im fine and will receive my phone on the 24th :):):):):):):):):):)
