**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Mine did as well. It wasn't like that when I went out to dinner last night, so it's a bit weird, but I'm confident that it won't matter.
That's normal for Check/Debit cards. The only way to verify the amounts is to do a temporary charge. By law, that can only stay on for a few days. Also, most companies only do the real charge when the product ships.
So, make sure you keeps the funds liquid!

My charge fell off yesterday. I called premiere and was assured everything is fine, my order has been processed and will ship "soon" and my card will be charged for real then.
I ordered at 4AM and the woman said it was a good move to order early.

I cannot find my order in the premiere site, even though I placed my order through my business account/premiere rep. I went to view all transactions and nothing shows up there. I can track my order through the regular AT&T order status website though (shows backordered, proper order date of 6/15). Any ideas as to how I find my order status in the premiere site?
The same thing has happened to me, it has nothing to do with AT&T, some banks (BofA being one of them) will only hold the funds for x amount of time before dropping it, you'll see a final charge once the phone ships. Was told this by my bank btw.

I read on another thread that debit cards could not be used to preorder but my card is a Wachovia Visa card that can act as a debit if need be. So.....I think I will be okay. I haven't been this excited since waiting 2 weeks for my first Cabbage Patch Kid back in the 80's LOL!!!!!I guess you could cancel the order and place a new one online on the premiere website.
Does it matter where you see your order as long as you can see it?

Not sure about that was told it would order fine but when ready to ship it would cancel ..this from a high up in Att.
Wouldn't they just call to update info? I have a similar situation where I had my credit card stolen but they will be issuing a new one. Problem is, won't they charge the old card and then there will be problems. Trying to get AT&T to update my info.
Has anyone who ordered later in the day (after 4 pm CST) talked to ATT to find out if they are in this first batch of phones to be shipped?
Ok. So I tried ordering on AT&T and Apple's website for 5 hours with no luck. I would get to AT&T's last page, hit purchase and it would timeout every time. No confirmation page. I did get 4 $1 holds sent to my bank account. About 2 hours later I get an email saying my order was canceled???
Said F-this, went to the AT&T store ( 35 min. drive ). Was all good to go til they told me you have to have a Credit Card. No ifs, ands, or buts. Can't be a debit/check card or cash!!?? What a bunch of BS! How can you deny someone a purchase that has a bank card! The money comes right out the account!! And then say no TO CASH!!! F@#k AT&T!!!
Bout ready to kill someone driving back when I notice Best Buy to my right. Ok. 5 min, easy as can be, $50 deposit, #2 pre-order. Love Best Buy. Great service. End of Story.......
Not so fast. Fast Forward 2 days later. All the $1 holds are gone and I get an email form AT&T confirming my iPhone pre-order, ordered on the 16th???? My order status is the same as most of the ones on this thread. WTF? Must have been backed up, but again I never once got an order confirmation page.
So now what? Which order do I cancel? If AT&T ain't shipping til the 24th I'll just go to BB and pick it up. But then again BB said the pre-orders aren't guaranteed and I should expect a call. FML.....

So I am a Premier customer and called when their telephone ordering systems were down so I was promised a call back. I didn't get a call back until the afternoon of the 16th. I ended up placing my order as I was unable to through Apple or the AT&T website.
I still have not gotten a confirmation email. My order number is invalid on both regular AT&T and Premier AT&T's order status's. But, when I enter my phone number on the regular site, it shows that I have an order that is backordered. Also, I believe my credit card has been charged.
I'm just going to assume that the systems are catching up to themselves and that since I placed my order after AT&T had canceled all preorders... that pretty much I'm screwed and just need to be patient. But I guess we'll see.

I ordered at 4:13pm on the 15th. I am calling now to find out. Also, I will ask about the debit/check card issue. I don't think it should be a problem.

I just got off the phone with Att. I had to wait awhile to speak to a supervisor but I finally did. If you used a check card with the Visa or Mastercard logo....everything should be fine. My charge fell off today and I will be charged again when the iPhone ships out. YAY!!!! I ordered the 15th at 4:18pm and he said I am in the first batch. He put me on hold about 10 minutes to check. Who knows?
It's probably a mistake, unless you already have a microsim on your current phone. Then you wouldn't need a new one
I actually just called AT&T, which isn't reliable, but they said that if I ordered it in the store and I was having trouble getting my order though (which was the case, and I returned 3 hours later to swipe my CC) then they put the SIM through the first time. And, when they actually typed in the shipping info/charged me then the SIM wouldn't show up but WILL BE shipped to be with my phone... Who knows... I'm hoping for the best because I can't imagine them shipping out a phone without a SIM already in it, I'm sure they've all got them in it...

Then I asked her if their system was showing my order as back ordered, she said no. I asked again to be sure and she said they have my order and the phone is in the warehouse. She suggested I call back on the 23rd for more info.
Good thing I also squeezed in a order from Apple because the apple order says prepared for shipment. The 24th is going to be interesting.
