**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

ordered the 15th early afternoon.. order number starts with 5051.. never been on back order.. FINALLY GOT A TRACKING NUMBER!!! 😀😀😀😀

My iphone arrived in Oakland, CA last night at 10:09PM and is still sitting there with no further tracking activity. I assume they will fly it out late tonight to Las Vegas and have it on a truck for delivery tomorrow. Same thing happened with my 27" iMac several months ago.

I'm still waiting as well - ordered at 8:52pm ET on 6/15; saved receipt in a PDF form immediately; didn't receive confirmation email until 3:24am ET on 6/17; showing as ordered on 6/16 through main at&t wireless site (where 32gb phone was purchased through). Right now I show as Processing - never been signaled for back ordered (thankfully).
the kicker for me is while I've enjoyed reading other people's experiences and the hype machine of this release is running rampant through the forums here, I'm EXTRA anxious to get the phone so I can return to the iPhone. I was still rocking out with the 2G model until 2 weeks ago when my phone's touch screen failed me for the final blow. A couple of months ago, about 25% of the way down the touch screen stopped working on a horizontal strip across the phone (I couldn't dial 4-5-6 to get the gist). Then 2 weeks ago another dead strip hit the phone, right in the section where you end a phone call (not so bad unless you hit a voice mail), text using the last line of letters, and most importantly slide the phone to unlock. Fortunately, the surface area for the slide is large enough that after multiple slide attempts, I am able to unlock the phone and update email (only when on WiFi), and use for music. I ended up purchasing a go-phone through AT&T so it wouldnt mess up my grandfathered in unlimited data plan and so I could use voice/text, but the period to return within the 30 day window (and only get docked a net $35 restocking fee) is quickly approaching. HOPEFULLY mine's going to hit my door on Thursday and there will be no worries.......
I did hear that some people may never see their tracking info updated and just receive their phone as scheduled......AT&T customer support is useless, and while lightly prodding last night I was told it could come the day of, even the day before, or at worst a couple of days after. Hmmmm......that narrows it down.

I'm in the same situation--I told them to ship it to my billing address, but they shipped it to the store instead. It is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, but I really don't think that the employees at the store are going to hand over that package. I don't look forward to going back into that store on the 24th.
I'm even behind alee - I still have "attention!" on my online order status, not even IN the regular AT&T system. If I'm LUCKY I'll have a Premier date of 6/15 and a AT&T wireless date of 6/22. 😡
It showed the 16th on at&t but i ordered it at 11:30 PST 6/15 (not that the time of ordering makes any difference apparently)

FINALLY received a tracking number, which has been shipped overnight. I'm in Grapevine, Tx, and my phone is showing to be in Ft. Worth, so I should get mine tomorrow. I can stop stressing about clueless At&t reps, and backorders. I can finally relax, and patiently wait for my iphone to arrive. 😎
Still a "1" in the backordered column for me 🙁 I ordered at 9:10AM EST on June 15th. This is really making me mad
Guys and gals, I still maintain that just because you don't have a tracking number doesn't necessarily mean that your phone is not on a FedEx or UPS truck on the way to your doorstep. I believe (conjecture, but from what I've seen everyone saying) that they're attaching order numbers to tracking numbers manually...it's entirely possible that those of us who are still In Progress, could still be In Progress after we have our iPhones in hand.
I finally got a tracking number from Fedex! I ordered two 16GB phones at 11:20am Pacific time on the 15th. They are coming from Texas for whatever reason and will be here by 4:30pm tomorrow!

On the ATT order status it says my iPhone 4 is shipped, but when I press "Tracking" it says on the FedEx-page that the tracking-number doesn't exist. It has been like this for the last two days. Anyone experiencing the same thing or know what it means?

Me too!...never have been backordered - ordered 6/15 at 10:45am EST. New AT&T customer. iPhone Black 32gb. Still "In Progress" with no tracking info.
yep, exact same boat. I don't know if it means anything. probably not.
but we're getting closer so i'm getting nervous since my talk time on my 3g is limited to under a minute.
i dont exactly but every time the plane has landed along the way, about an hour later i get an updated status with that location on my tracking results.
Hope by this evening I will show arrival at Newark and then in a truck for delivery tomorrow at some point. Usually it goes to some place in Brooklyn first from Newark.
Sounds like a ton of people are getting phones tomorrow so activating could get hairy.

My Fedex number which merely an hour ago didn't work at all, now works totally...

Same boat. I've had the tracking number since Sunday night. Tried calling FedEx - they have no record. Called AT&T, they can't find it in their carrier tracking system. They've opened a help ticket and promise to call by tomorrow. Not very reassuring.
I was never on backorder, but it sounds like those that were are having better luck anyway!
I can't stand this STILL ON BACKORDER!!!!! I ordered at 8:30 am CST on 6/15 with a instant conformation email..... I showed processing since the 15th on premier.....didnt show up on att till 6/19 i have called premier and reg at&t csr's a few times and all give different info....What ticks me off even more is my gf ordered hers 11 hours after me at an att store and she has a tracking number...I have been told that my order is processed and will be shipping shortly for 2 days...WTF gives.....😡😡😡😡
