I might be in the running for the contest as well.

Ordered noon on the 15th, got a confirmation email immediately with someone else's address on it.

After repeatedly being told that someone else's address was fine, they tried to run my card and it was declined (AT&T's error) and my order went into Attention status. Despite repeated calls they didn't try to reprocess until the 22nd.

On the 22nd their system screwed up again and incorrectly flagged as invalid the text messaging plan I was offered and selected at the time of order.

This time the Rep put a "red tag" on my order and said it should process much faster.

It did. They finally put it through to the Warehouse 2 days later (instead of waiting 6, like they did with the credit card error), so my official order date with AT&T on the main status page is June 24th. Despite the premier order still showing the 15th. I'm currently backordered.

I'm probably not going to get a phone until after the White versions are available.

I am so going to win this.
 
im telling ya. if their stores have them on the 29th as they say. and mine has not shipped. i will go ballistic on their ass!!!!!!!!!!!!! this whole thing is such bs.
 
I did place my order on the 15th. Got my confirmation email within minutes. Got an email on the 16th saying it was being processed. On the 17th my order finally showed up on the order status page (with an order date of the 17th). Never showed backorder or other problems. Just In Progress. On the 24th I called and customer service said it hadn't shipped yet and they didn't know when it would.

Just checked my order again and still in progress. Order date is still the 17th. No new emails either.

My phone must be in limbo :mad:

I'm in the exact same boat... A bit disappointed with AT&T: Not so much about the availability issues but about the total lack of coordinated communication. And the "first come, first served" baloney. Oh well. A phone will come at some point....

How about a new Twitter hashtag for everyone that is waiting and has far too many stories on what is up with their phone. I've heard from over 10 reps that my order is fine yet I'm still backordered. It's not so much not having the new phone but rather the not knowing when it's expected to be fulfilled.

How about #attiphonelimbo

Maybe we can get the attention of @scobleizer and @leolaporte to get more visibility to the issues.

guys and gals with order on 6/22 and 6/24....did you place the order on 6/15? I think that should be the first rule.....

if you did not place the order on 6/15, you simply cannot play.

and if it's true that you guys ordered on 6/15, but now have 6/22 and 6/24 order date, even though you may think you have me where you wanted as I am 6/18, but, I will still come out on top. just you watch........watch my luck DUMP on me!!!

They tell me "they" had an issue with their internal "pheonix" server and so my order had to be dealt with by their special devisions service.....

So now here I am with no phone and am back ordered...
 
All I know is that I'm still In Progress. Ordered 15th at 4:30am, CC issues and it got changed to 17th and have been In Progress since and they tell me I cannot cancel. Basically some BS. I was hoping for Monday or Tuesday but seems very slim

One would think that if you know you had a system crash and had data integrity issues with orders for a high visibility product, you would put your crack team on getting those orders out first to avoid yet another black eye.

Logic seems to escape them at this point.

I'm sorry for those of you who haven't received your preorders yet, I hope they get there soon. It could be worse. I read several accounts of people waiting in blistering heat for over 10 hours and still didn't get a phone. Luckily you're all assured to get one.

Now I'm crossing my fingers a patch is released by Monday to address the signal issue. It only happens to me when I'm in my apartment.
 
Ordered 06/15 @ 5:50AM PST on Premier, order was processed on 06/22/10. Order still says processing...

Ordered at 0845 PST on the 15th. Received confirmation in minutes. Did not hear anything after that for awhile. Attempted to call to get status; got in a couple of times only to have them tell me mine should be "on track". Phone was still on order and on backorder. Finally contacted them on the 22nd via Twitter ( @ATTCustomerCare ) and gave them my information. Guy named Chris said he had passed on my info to someone to look up the status. Never heard from them again. Something must have happened because on the 23rd I finally got shipping information. Received iPhone on the 24th.

In the end AT&T did live up to their promised date of the 24th. Was not a good customer experience. Will not buy from at&t again. Only did it this time because I could not get through to Apple's servers.

I feel for those of you who really got screwed. Try Twitter, Facebook to get someone from at&t to contact you. Good luck!

My order went down exactly the same way and I'm still waiting for a tracking #.
 
Still waiting for mine. Everything I've gathered from the reps and manager is that the 32gb simply ran out of stock and they are waiting for the shipment from Apple. The order support guy said that if it is in processing in the warehouse it should ship 24-48 hours whenever the shipment of phones get there. I better get a phone Monday or Tuesday since they have my full payment now. I'm still getting "In progress" on order status. Here's hoping for next week.

I have a 5051 number, had my original order date backed up to 6/17, 32gb new account, no porting.
 
WOO finally got a tracking number!!!

Order on the 15th around 11am, but the Date ordered said 06/17/10.
