I ordered (3) 16GBs on 7/3 around 10:00am.
Of course they're all "In Progress" and all back ordered. Hope to see them within the next week

I'm in a similar situation, ordered (2) 16GBs on 7/5, all in progress and backordered. Although it did say that it could be 7-14 days to ship them I'm hoping they get shipped no later than the end of next week.

DAYM my 7-1 32 gb order has not been shipped yet... I see a few of you with 7-1 order dates that have been shipped and you got your tracking numbers already... This is really pissing me of now.. I wanted my phone for the weekend as I am going out of town. Really crappy on at&t and apples part!!! Safe to say if anyone else offered this phone I would not have at&t anymore!!!!!

I ordered a 32 on 7/2. Just received shipping info on the morning of 7/8. Will be here tomorrow.

The phone came off of backorder 36 hours before I got shipping info.

Ok I finally just got my tracking number... I was ok with the 7-10 days at&t quoted me but to see everyone get there phones shipped 1st when ordered after me just really did not sit well with me....

Anyway good luck to the rest of you..

Ordered 7-1 at at&t store 32 GB
off backorder 7-6 at 5:00
Recieved shipping info 7-8 9:30 am

I am starting to wonder if I should have bought mine from ATT&T instead of directly from apple. But maybe I will get my iPhone next week instead of Aug 2

I am really confused as to how AT&T is deciding to ship orders. A co-worker of mine ordered his last week and got it the next day. I ordered last friday and its still backordered. Not Cool.

Ordered a 32GB through Premier as a new customer on 6/30/10 at 11am.

Was in process the same day but then went to "Attention" later in the day.

Went back to "Processing" status on 7/1/10.

Showed as backordered from 7/6/10 - 7/7/10. Came out of backordered status around 12pm on 7/7/10.

Just checked today and it has shipped!!

Ordered three 16g....ordered at AT&T store...NOT Premier.

7/1: Ordered
7/2-6: Back Ordered
7/7: Back order removed
7/8 : 2 out of the three confirmed to be shipped..arrival 7/9 at 3pm.

The frustrating thing....

I live in Grapevine Texas which is a stone;s throw away from Fort Worth where all of the phones seems to be coming from.

The phones have to go to Memphis first...then back to Texas! Too funny.

I wonder if new customers vs current customers makes any difference. And for new customers - porting vs not porting. Too bad we didn't have a thread where everyone put all this info, 16gb or 32gb, location, new/current, age, sex, orientation :p ... who knows what is being taken into consideration here. I want to believe there is a method to this madness, but I guess there's not.

I ordered in the AT&T store. The first couple employees gave the standard "2-3 weeks" when i asked how long I should expect to wait. But then I asked the guy who checked me out and placed the order what his honest opinion was and he said "at most 2 weeks". So between that and people on here getting them in 2 days, not sure when to expect them haha

Just got mine!

The Fed-ex guy was so sneaky that I didn't even realize the phone was here until an email popped up on my monitor. (You can set email alerts on the fed-ex tracking page - apparently it's nearly instantaneous)

Anyhow, just for those who want more data on what to possible expect:

32GB phone ordered 6/29 at 4:44AM (Eastern)
Came off of back order status on 7/6 around 9PM
Website updated with tracking info around 10AM on 7/7
Phone delivered at 2PM on 7/8

Right now it's syncing with iTunes. I'm setting it up as a new phone, to hopefully avoid some of the problems reported on this board, that might have to do with restoring from a phone on 3.1.3.

I'm not sure if it's activated yet (followed the link from my original order email).

Whoo hoo!
