**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

I've been reading a lot of 7/6 orders got fulfilled today but I was a 7/6 but order got pushed back a day for some reason to 7/7. Hope to wake up tomorrow with a zero under my back order like the past couple days lol
 
It is possible to get it in 4-5 days...I live in LA and mutiple reps say they are told to say 7-14 days but people have been getting them in 5 ...I ordered a 16gb on 7/11 at 10.00 am

I'm a 7/6 too, and I'm still backordered. I keep expecting to a zero in the backordered column, but it never happens :confused:
 
Reading about people getting their device within ten days of ordering is blowing my mind. Having placed my order on 6/23, and having zero feedback from AT&T, I don't know what else to do.

Thinking that my order is lost in the abyss, I went into a store to place my order that way after seeing the success rate of this tactic. I was told that my upgrade option was already spent on the current AWOL order and that it would need to be cancelled first before I could place an order at the store.

I called AT&T customer care (lol) and was told that I could not cancel my order at this time. It has not shipped. For all I know it's still in China unassembled.

I'm seriously considering the Droid here. I really don't want to go with an inferior product but my 3G is too jacked up to deal with on a daily basis anymore. This crap makes me hot.

Though the iPhones seem to be shipping from the same area (Texas, I believe?), your location may play a larger role than others have led you to believe. I live outside of Chicago, which is a larger market with most likely a large amount of pre-orders.

So when I order on 7/6 and I am still on back-order (insert emoticon shooting himself here) and I see a user a few pages back from Alaska getting a turn around in 4-5 days, it makes sense to me that Alaska just has a smaller market with fewer amounts of pre-orders.

Does this make complete sense that those who are ordering after me are getting their phones faster?

No. But I'm assuming their a evenly distributing a ratio of phones per city, per day.

I think you're correct. Metropolitan areas with a dense population might have longer wait times. I live in Dallas, near the facility were most i've seen have shipped from, and I am still waiting. :) I ordered mine on the 9th from the AT&T store and I do not expect it to arrive until after Tuesday of next week. I was told 7-10 business days and until then I will continue to be patient.

Wow, and I thought being backordered since 7/6 was bad. AT&T needs to get their ***** straight. You should raise holy hell, but from what I've seen of their customer service, I doubt anything would help. They seem to like leaving their customers in the wind.:(
 
Picked up device up today, and activated it when I went home. It was delivered today as well. 4th of July order.
 
Still NOTHING!!!! I hope at the dumbass press confrence tomorrow they don't recall the phone. If they do that, who knows just how long it will take all of us who are still waiting to recieve the phone.

Just got my tracking number from FedEx! They are estimating that it should arrive here outside of Chicago tomorrow at 3!

This pretty much falls right in line with the 7-10 day period as tomorrow is exactly 10 days from when I ordered on 7/6.

PS: If SJ announces a recall (which he won't seeing that people are still buying this phone despite the negative antenna news) I am going to probably spaz out.
 
I am so sick of waiting! Everyday its 1 under backorder, I don't even feel like checking anymore. My accessories are going to come before my phone!

I feel your pain man, I ordered 2 phones on 7/6 and I'm still in progress/backordered status as of about 10 minutes ago. But it is what it is, sure I want the new phones but they'll get here when they get here. Not really a whole lot that can be done.

Well after sending off some "unhappy" emails to several different account reps last night, low and behold what do I have in my inbox this morning? A tracking number. Almost a month later, scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Hallelujah. Tracking number says it shipped today. Coincidence?

If they announce a recall Friday, my head will explode.

Still 'IN PROGRESS"/"BACKORDERED"

I am hoping I log on this evening and see a change in status!!!!!:(

Noticing a lot of people with my order date have seen changes in status yesterday and today and are expecting phones today(horray for you) so my fingers are crossed.:rolleyes:

Sold my T-Mobile BB 9700's on Sunday but had to explain to couple that my
iphones are on backorder... Very understanding people but at the same time if they cancel the sale I understand :(

Was hoping I would play with my new gadget over the weekend instead of watching my office door next week to see if my boss is coming:)
 
Finally decided to join in after reading this thread for a week.
Ordered iPhone 4 16GB at AT&T store around 5 pm on 7/7/10.
Still backordered…
My question is: my plan currently shows $15 iphone data charge (effective 8/19/10). Why would this date be so far out? Starting to worry that they’re not even considering shipping my phone until then.

I too ordered on 7/6 and woke up this morning to a zero in the back-ordered column. I'm thinking I'll have it juuuust as the press conference is starting.

I ordered mine on 7/6 night. I'm hoping I see that big fat zero pretty soon. It's depressing seeing a 1 every morning when I check.

I feel ya.

I have yet to get an e-mail confirming the order and my CC has not been charged yet. I ordered it at around 2:00 last Tuesday so this may end up taking another weekend to finish!

I remain optimistic and I hope you catch that zero sometime today!

My biggest complaint is that I am in Colorado for the summer doing my internship and I leave on July 27 at 8 a.m. If I don't get it by then, I have to wait for it to ship here and then have my family ship it back to me in Michigan, meaning the wait would be even longer.

Here is to hoping it ships soon!
 
Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Ordered 7/11, shipped today, supposed to arrive at my local (Corvallis, OR) AT&T store tomorrow 7/16 by 3 PM. Don't know if this is relevant but I'm a new AT&T Wireless customer, eligible for Premier and switching from another carrier. I ordered through the local store, though, to help with some details of switching over.

I ordered mine on the 6th of July from an AT&T store and my order still says backorder:( I'm really starting to get worried here.
 
I just called AT&T and they told me that my order was "Pending". Is this just a different word for backorder or am I actually getting my iPhone soon?
