**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Not sure if this is a sign (for recall), but I haven't noticed any movement on phones today and I just checked my bank account and my $210 pending transaction for the iPhone is gone and I've been credited back the money. I ordered from ATT store 7/10 a.m. and my order status still says backorder 1.
Mine is being shipped to me as we speak actually. Ordered 7/6 and was taken off of backorder yesterday AFTER the announcement of their press conference.
Another 7/6 order here that is still waiting. My wife and I ordered a 16 gig and 32 gig. Another friend of ours ordered a 16 gig on the same day and received hers yesterday. She actually had hers shipped to our place, so I think that throws out some of the "location" myths. Her order was placed about 20 minutes AFTER ours, both orders through the ATT website.
I should have sold my 3g the day we ordered, its been pure hell trying to use it since upgrading to iOS4.
Yup. I just checked on my 7/6 again and of course still backordered. I hope we get them soon. If I wake up tomorrow and it still says backordered I'm gonna start getting ready for the funny farm...lol
Same here. I ordered a 16 gb through at&t site. my 3g has been giving me a lot of problems. Today it wouldn't even allow me to call out or hear incoming calls. pain in the butt.
I'm hoping tomorrow it goes from 1 to 0 in backorder.

Oh, man! Still backordered...but I expected no less at this point. So that puts me at about the 10 or 11 day mark, now.

I just called at&t, I finally spoke with someone who has some sense. He told me that There are no phones currently available, Meaning your phone hasn't been MADE!!!!! He said no AT&T warehouses in the northeast currently has phones. So the orders cannot be filled.
Once you order from the AT&T website, your order is then sent to a fulfillment warehouse where they ship out the phones.
They can't ship them, because they simply dont have any phones. So those of us you are still waiting for a phone in the northeast will have to wait "possibly" untill AUGUST 7TH!!!! FOR THE PHONES TO SHIP!!!!

I thought so, but i guess not. Again i take everthing he said with a super sized grain of salt. But The part about there not being any phones i kinda believe.

Keep the faith, ordered mine on 7/6 about 5pm, finally came off backorder last night about 11:45. So hopefully will get my shipping info sometime today. So I would think that the 7/7 orders should begin to see movement very soon.
I really wouldn't take this seriously. I have a friend that worked at AT&T for the last iPhone release (3GS), and he would tell me about all the incorrect information he and his fellow employees would give customers calling in about the iPhone just because they wanted to see if they could start an internet rumor or not.
This is just to show that there are in fact iPhones still being shipped out as we speak. Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to be camping out by my computer anxiously waiting for this to get delivered.

Ordered 7/7 in store, was told 4 days by sales manager (but couldn't guarantee it obviously). He claimed he was told to tell customers 7-10 days. As of 5 minutes ago, I'm still on backorder.
I have never had the slightest issue with my 3G, but since the iPhone 4 release I have had issues atleast 3-4 times a week. Text messages not sending, unable to make or recieve calls, email connection problems, etc. Has anyone else noticed these (or similar) issues?

Yeah.
Once you upgrade to iOS 4, the 3G is overwhelmed by the demand on resources that operating system requires. Some people have "downgraded" back to the previous operating system which gets rid of most of the sluggish performance you are experiencing.
As for your order, I would say that if your order doesn't come off of backorder today you should call the store and put some pressure on them for a direct answer.
I haven't upgraded to iOS4 yet, because of the reasons you just described.
You're right though, if nothing changes today I'm definitely going to call. I called after the 5 day mark (just to let them know that telling people 4 days probably wasn't a good idea anymore) and got the "We can only check status like you can, we aren't told much at all about time frames"
