**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Yes waiting sucks. Yes they should ship within the time they give you. I can go on and on... The truth of the matter is that you're an early adopter to an extremely popular product and you knew what you were getting into. If that doesn't work for you, then maybe the iPhone isn't for you.

And I'm not trying to be argumentative, believe me I want my phone ASAP too! I ordered on 7/7 and am still on backorder (16GB on AT&T). It's just how this is going to work. I'm just thankful that they even let us order online so I don't have to deal with going to the store.

I don't think it's a matter of wether the iPhone itself is for me. This is neither my first apple product nor my first iPhone, but your point about being an early adopter is well taken. I had the foresight to reserve my iPad ahead of time and stand online come launch day. Looks like my timing was off with the iPhone 4. The demand for this device is huge, and I jumped in mid furor. I guess I just had one of those gotta vent moments. Apologies people:) Peace.
 
I ordered 7-6 at att.com I got a email today that order has been shipped and I should have it on monday the 19th. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Follow up. Just came off backorder and got tracking number. Looks like I ranted for nothing...:)
 
Ordered 16 Gig x2 on 7/7/2010

Finally came off of backorder this evening. Hopefully delivery by Monday. We will see.

EDIT: Tracking number now assigned.

Ordered a 16 gb on the evening of 7/7 from the At&t website. Not overly miffed or concerned yet as it seems a lot of other people from 7/7 still haven't gotten theirs. If it's not off backorder by Tuesday I might e-mail them.

Congrats, dude! Me and you have been pretty much side-by-side through this whole process, so I'm hoping mine will come off back ordered soon as well.

I ordered as well on 7/7 (a 16GB black) from ATT store in california. still on backorder as of 6:30pm today
 
I checked my bank account today and noticed I was up $200+....Anyone else experiencing refunds for their iPhone 4 orders? Does this mean they canceled my order? Still back ordered on the AT&T website. 16gb ordered 7/10

The hold that AT&T placed on the funds in your account upon ordering the phone simply expired. You haven't been and won't be charged until your phone has shipped; you haven't been refunded anything. Everything is probably OK but it doesn't hurt to call AT&T to be sure. My phone shipped quickly enough that the hold didn't expire until the phone had already been shipped out.

Got it. Thanks for the response. I'll call AT&T up tomorrow just to make sure everything is still ok.

can someone please either pm a copy of their "concerning letter" or just say what to write to them please? i'm so impatient

I know I hear you on that, I hope they come off soon. As long as I get mine by wednesday I'll be happy( I leave for Texas Thursday)
