Ryan, The hold stayed for around 2 days and then nothing was charged. I believe this is normal and account will be charged only when the product is shipped.

Thanks. I ordered a 32GB from Premier this morning. I just re-checked my bank account, and you're right it is an authorization charge. I have another one from when I ordered my CandyShell last Friday. What's funny is that the authorization amount doesn't match the price I was quoted at check out. I'm sure it will all even out in the end.

What I'm really loving is seeing all these folks who ordered 32GB phones on Monday are shipping today. Hopefully they'll start shipping quicker than 7-14 days for everyone soon.

Edit: Never mind. The price difference is my activation fee which is supposed to show up on my bill anyway.

Hopefuly our premier orders will ship soon. Off late, I have noticed that non-premier 32 gb orders are getting processed quicker. This is my conjecture: Premier and Non-Premier are two seperate departments. Both follow similar process and finally send the processed order to warehouse, that ships based on the avilability/new shipments arrive. Premier department has fewer staff (for obvious reasons) and the order processing (bank amount availability, sim activation etc) is taking bit longer than non-primier. That being said, I guess we will have our phones earlier than the 14 days :) .

I stopped by the store that I ordered from last night and they could only tell me "wait until tuesday if nothing happens, come back." I think I might call customer service and have them look deeper into my order and see what might be causing the holdup.

I'll update when I find out more.
 
Premier 16 GB

I have a premier account and ordered my new 16 GB iPhone from a local ATT store in Denver on Monday, 7/12. It's still on backorder. I agree. I think the Premier orders are processing much slower. However, the ATT employee at the store quoted me at 10-14 business days. Therefore, the phone should be shipped by mid week (next week) at the latest. We'll see. Like everyone else, I wish I could of had it for the weekend.
 
Well I was among the waiting for White but today's news kicked me in gear. I ordered a 16 GB today I've had a 32 but I haven't used it for storage to much. So 16GB should be fine. hope I didn't make a mistake. Now lets see how long it takes!

Seems like a good conclusion. I ordered a 32gb on 7/16 online through AT&T Premier. New customer, new number. Currently on backorder.

With 32gb orders from this week being shipped already, I assume you are correct about premier vs. non-premier.
 
Ordered 32 GB through ATT Premier on 7/16.

Shipped on 7/23 from Texas.

Arriving on 7/27 via FedEx.

Now, I am happy. :)

I just checked and mine is off backorder too finally! Hopefully us 7/12ers will ship monday! :D
 
I ordered the 16GB on Monday, 7/12 at an ATT store in Denver. The order hasn't been shipped. However, it came off of backorder last night. 7/12-ers, our time has finally come.
 
Does customer service agreement from AT&T indicate anything?

I ordered a 32gb on 7/22 from premier. Got my cust service agreement email from AT&T today. I'm guessing that doesn't really indicate when it will ship but I though I would check. Thanks.
 
Walked in yesterday to South Coast Plaza Apple 25 mins later picked up a black iphone 32gb, no preorder! I recommend calling around if your eager!!!
 
After waiting for apple I ordered at ATT

There's nothing available in MN. Plus, it's impossible to cancel an AT&T online order.

I couldn't get anybody to tell me with certainty that I could get the activation fees waived at the apple store - since I can get them waived at premier - I decided to save the bucks without the hasle of asking for a refund.

I was getting 2 phones - so it would be about $60 beofre tax.


I bit the bullet and ordered from Premier just knowing that as soon as I did, the phone would show up at the apple store.

It did three days later.

Oh well. After all it is just a stupid phone.

Too much stress over such a small issue. I am happier siving the money. Still I do wish I had the phone :rolleyes:

I'd prolly be less pissed I still don't have the phone if I wasn't rollin with an ORIGINAL iphone which is slow as dirt.
