Ryan, The hold stayed for around 2 days and then nothing was charged. I believe this is normal and account will be charged only when the product is shipped.
Thanks. I ordered a 32GB from Premier this morning. I just re-checked my bank account, and you're right it is an authorization charge. I have another one from when I ordered my CandyShell last Friday. What's funny is that the authorization amount doesn't match the price I was quoted at check out. I'm sure it will all even out in the end.
What I'm really loving is seeing all these folks who ordered 32GB phones on Monday are shipping today. Hopefully they'll start shipping quicker than 7-14 days for everyone soon.
Edit: Never mind. The price difference is my activation fee which is supposed to show up on my bill anyway.

I ordered 7/12 in store and it shipped yesterday.
Hopefuly our premier orders will ship soon. Off late, I have noticed that non-premier 32 gb orders are getting processed quicker. This is my conjecture: Premier and Non-Premier are two seperate departments. Both follow similar process and finally send the processed order to warehouse, that ships based on the avilability/new shipments arrive. Premier department has fewer staff (for obvious reasons) and the order processing (bank amount availability, sim activation etc) is taking bit longer than non-primier. That being said, I guess we will have our phones earlier than the 14 days.
Has anyone noticed a trend from past threads where they could estimate the difference in delay time between the 16GB and 32GB model?
I stopped by the store that I ordered from last night and they could only tell me "wait until tuesday if nothing happens, come back." I think I might call customer service and have them look deeper into my order and see what might be causing the holdup.
I'll update when I find out more.

mine just came off backorder tonight....so hopefully yours will or has.
Walked in yesterday to South Coast Plaza Apple 25 mins later picked up a black iphone 32gb, no preorder! I recommend calling around if your eager!!!
There's nothing available in MN. Plus, it's impossible to cancel an AT&T online order.
