**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

I have a friend who ordered online from AT&T and was not charged sales tax. I ordered at the AT&T store and the $50+ tax was included on my credit card charge (although it's still pending since my phone hasn't shipped). We're both in San Francisco, so it might be the case that you can dodge the sales tax when ordering online from AT&T. Perhaps others can confirm?
7/13 still backorder. Nothing over the weekend, if I dont get it by Friday, I will kill myself lol
I think I remember reading in another thread somewhere, (if someone can find it that would be great) that said that Apple charges tax based on the full price while AT&T bases theirs on the subsidized price. I'm not sure if that's actually true, but it's a theory.

Sigh...my 7/23 order isn't going to be shipped until much later than I thought...
I have not seen any either. No orders at all have been fulfilled by AT&T this weekend. Looks like all the Iphones went to Apple to fulfill their orders this weekend. Hopefully this week the 7/12, 7/13 and 7/14 orders get fulfilled (I ordered 7/13). AT&T keeps falling further behind on their orders.
I hope AT&T steps up and fills our orders from 7/9 to 7/13 starting on Monday. Unlike last weekend, no one seems to be getting any phone this weekend. I just hope I come off backorder soon, having no cell phone is starting to be annoying, the anticipation for my iPhone 4 is huge, and my patience has completely worn thin waiting this long.
Nope. In my case I ordered at the AT&T store and they charged me the tax on the full retail price. Policies might differ by region, I guess.
It just figures with my luck I'd go with the wrong option! I ordered my phone on the same day as my friend (7/18). She went to the Apple store and put her name and email on their list. I went to the AT&T store because I wanted to get the upgrade fee waived and I also heard they were filling orders faster. I thought for sure I'd have my phone first, but she called me half an hour ago saying she got the email that her unit had arrived. She had also ordered one for me, just in case, but it was the 32 GB so I passed. I rushed home to check my order statuse and yup... still backordered. I had hoped to have my phone at least shipped by tomorrow but now it looks like I might not have it until August, Grrrr.
I'm also in VA and I was only charged tax on the $199 price. I bought it in store, but I was under the impression they charge you tax on your state even if you order online.

This whole thing is complete torture. they should have made enough to begin with. i rather wait for it if it didnt come out yet, then to wait for it knowing that i can have it.

And the 32gb's are generally hovering around -6000.
Ordered 7/20....was really hoping to have the phone by 7/31 (this Friday)....anyone think thats likely?

Probably not if you ordered a 16gb, i ordered on 7/17 and i'll be lucky if mine comes off backorder by friday. We're still waiting for 7/13's to come off backorder, let alone ship them. As far as checking stores, im not sure if you can cancel. I ordered mine at the AT&T store and it's still taking 7-10 business days. We're all in the same boat and like i said before we will all have the phones eventually, just have to be patient.

I doubt it you will get it by Friday. I ordered my 16GB on 7/14 at the Van Wert, OH AT&T store and its still on backorder.
I'm trying to be patient but its hard to do. If its still backordered on Wednesday I'm going to stop by the store and see what's the holdup, Wednesday makes 10 business days since I ordered.or nothing really. i was just venting.
