**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

got off bo by 2pm and shipping info at 10pm
 
ordered two phones from the AT&T store on 7/16. one 32g and one 16g.

the 32g shipped via UPS two day air on 7/20. picked it up in the store 7/22.

the 16g came of backorder sometime this morning and got a tracking number this evening. 7/27. being delivered to the store next air via fed ex.

I got my tracking number yesterday and my delivery date is tomorrow, but I'm not sure what to make of why my package never really left Memphis..

This is what the tracking info says:

Did it leave one Fedex facility (probably not an Apple warehouse?) to the Memphis hub?
And, if anyone else has any packages coming out of Memphis today, (They are having delays because of the weather down there) would a 2-day package be flown to me (Northern VA) or put in a truck?

Ok, It left at 3pm, and showed up here at 6pm our big hub at Dulles airport, about 10 miles from me.

Thanks everyone for the help and the updates on this thread, it really helped me figure out what AT&T was doing with the phones.

I hope everyone enjoys their phones like I will! :D:D:D
 
I have a really good feeling the 16 I ordered on the 17th is gonna get released for shipment soon!!! I have a really good feeling.

I ordered online AT&T consumer site the 17th.
I really should have checked best buy though.
 
For those of you that ordered a 32gb from the regular site recently (7/22, 7/23, 7/24) and had it come of backorder yesterday/today, did it say 7-10 days wait for you as well? Since I ordered on Monday I'm wondering if there were a lot of orders over the weekend (no white iPhone) and the shipping delays got bigger.

Ordered two iPhone's 4's (16gig) in Store on 7/15th Around 7PM. My Wife's was ordered first, And mine was ordered second.
Crazy thing, Mine shipped today (standard overnight) and her's didn't ship. How am I going to explane this to her. I'm happy I'm getting mine, but know this isn't going to go well. Thanks At&t. :D :eek:

Wait time was 7-14 days if I remember correctly. (Ordered on the 24th, shipped today)
 
UPS doesn'tdo delivery times

I doubt that people really have TIME of day estimates - just day estimates
 
My experience

I've been following this thread for days and finally I have something to contribute:

1. Ordered 16GB Black (Premiere) online on 7/15 at about noon
2. Received an order confirmation email almost immediately.
3. They held $199 on my debit card almost immediately also. This disappeared in a few days.
4. Premiere order status site changed to "Last updated 7/16" the next day. Never changed again until today.
4.5. 7/25 Visited an apple store and held one for the first time. Nice! Learned that they were no longer accepting names for the priority list and would be receiving phones everyday.
5. 7/26 Received the "Please be patient"/"We have not forgotten your order" email.
6. 7/27 aprox 10 am backorder disappeared on the regular site.
7. Tracking info (Fedex Next Day by 3:00pm) appeared around noon.
8. Received the shipping email at 2:29 PM
9. Celebrate!

So... about 13 days... Not too bad. It was kind of agonizing though.

what was your estimated delivery?
 
Update:

Ordered just before closing time on friday the 23rd, taken off back-order this morning (Tuesday 7/27), and shipping info received the same afternoon.
 
Hmm, I ordered mine on the 23rd, and while it shows it is no longer backordered, it still shows "In Progress". Wonder what's up.

Do they email you a tracking number or does it just show up on the order status site?

7/28 (tomorrow)

I might as well put all the info in here:
I ordered a 16G
Placed order 7/12 in-store (having it shipped to work)
Came off backorder 7/23
Got shipping confirmation 7/26
Should be in my hands tomorrow 7/28

i didnt get an email. it just showed up on the site.

Not sure when exactly it came off backorder. Received 2 shipment e-mails this morning, first one around 11am EST and another about an hour later. Shipped FedEx overnight, so it's due for delivery before 3pm on the 28th.
 
I was taken off backorder last Friday (on an order placed on 7/12). Still hasn't shipped (only says "in progress"). Has anyone else experienced being in "limbo" for this long?
