I ordered 16g on 7/23 in a store as well, and based on what I've seen here it looks like you will most likely not have in hand by the 1st. Right now the 16gb backorders have been shipping through order date 7/17, and I have not seen anything ordered after 7/17 come off backorder according to this thread.
Unfortunately I'm in the same boat and I would like mine in hand before I leave on 8/2. Here's hoping for good luck for both of us!

Wouldn't matter if anyone has gotten theirs. It's not like UPS workers are all robots and deliver all iPhone 4s at the exact same time each day

If you ordered a 16GB I will be very surprised if yours comes off backorder this week. (32s seem to be going a lot faster). From what I've seen on this thread, only one 16GB ordered after 7/17 has been shipped so far

Did you order a 16 or a 32? The 32 seem to be going pretty fast, although I'm still on backorder for the one I ordered this past Friday (7/23). (Maybe I'll get lucky and it will come off backorder today and get to me on Monday, when I'm actually home!) The 16 is still backed up from orders placed around 7/16 or 7/17 who should be shipping here soon if they haven't already.

Of course it says "processing" but look a couple of columns over where it says "backordered"
Actually, it seems that premier is taking longer. I've seen quite a few 7/24 and 7/25 32GB orders come off backorder and I'm still waiting because it's premier. I wouldn't order through premier again.

I went to an AT&T store, and im assuming they ordered it through premier.
From what I've been reading, non-premier actually is moving faster than premier...and 32gb is moving faster than 16gb.
Which means...if you ordered a 32gb non-premier, you're golden.
We ordered mine on 7/24, hoping to get it in time for my birthday on 8/1. I, unfortunately, ordered a 16gb via premier, so I'm screwed.
