**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

No change here :-(
1. Premier
2. Upgrading 3G -> iPhone4 32 GB
2. Ordered ~7:20 AM EST on 6/15 (online) and received immediate confirmation email at that time
3. Premier site shows ordered 6/15 and processing; Last updated 6/18
4. Regular ATT site shows backordered and ordered 6/17

What's been everyone's general delay from when they receive a tracking number and their status goes from "In Progress" to "Shipped"? Is anyone receiving tracking information yet through FedEx or are the numbers still not in the system?

Which number did you use to contact at&t as the small business dept is looking at the same "Backordered" as I am so therefore doesn't know anything
This is infuriating -
I got my order in before 9 am Arizona time - Premier - and it is still sitting as backordered...
It wouldn't matter so much - except it is shipping to where I will be ONLY on Thursday and Friday...
All may still be well for you. There was talk of premier orders getting overnight shipment, so it would be natural for those orders to not ship until a little later. No need to panic yet!

I ordered my 32GB iPhone at my local AT&T store at 4:30 PM PST on 6/15, since I was eligible to upgrade my almost two year old 3G model.
I received a tracking number at 4:30 this morning. My status on the ATT site is SHIPPED on 6/20 with a tracking number listed.
I have no idea when it will arrive, but at least I won't be waiting until the middle of July.

Hi, I dont really post on here but i enjoy reading the forums all the time, and I just thought id share where I am at with my order:
I ordered at AT&T store on the 15th at about 3 pm EST. Pen and Paper method. Regular customer, fully upgrading from Iphone 3g. I ordered a 32GB black, and my order status has never been backordered. It has looked like this the entire time:
My question was...did everyone get this email that says: "Thank you for ordering iPhone 4 from AT&T. Your device has been reserved. Today was the busiest sales day in our history. Because of the incredible volume of orders we received, there is a slight chance that some customers may receive their devices between June 25 and June 28. Rest assured, we are doing all we can to ship devices to customers for delivery on the 24th. You do not need to take any action at this point."
I hadnt seen anyone really talking about the email so i was just wondering if this meant i would be getting mine between the 25th and 28th?

My guess would be they aren't on a pallet yet. AT$T has one station that boxes the phone and gets a tracking number from FedEx. Once they have a label, they put it on the box and scan it.(in progress w/tracking). The box then goes to another station that verifies the order and closes the box. The boxes are then sorted by region and are scanned as they are put on a pallet for pickup (shipped w/tracking)
but that's my WAG.

I am in your boat; order number starts with EXTP with 6/15 and still backordered; where did you order your phone?

Received the same email. Currently waiting for my order to be shipped. I also did the pen and paper method at the AT&T store. This was done on 6/15 around 11:45am Eastern.
I should also note, that I did recieve that email at 7:55pm Eastern. So there was delay from putting the pen and paper order in and when the rep actually keyed it into the system.
But still says "in progress". Does that just mean it just prepared for shipment?
And for those that are getting their order status upgraded to "shipped", are you getting email confirmations as well when the your status changes?
Just changed to shipped sometime today and was in progress last night, still no email confirmation.
Thanks that's helpful! Definitely makes sense. I just hope my region's next to be scanned. Patience is a virtue that has eluded me

I ordered it in the store and of course they took a paper order. He did assign me a phone number but had to enter the order later on because systems were down. I hope that even though there is a missing SIM line that it will still included in the order. I did not have the order shipped to the store, I had it shipped to my home. Everything else looks ok
update: my order has shipped!
- No Premier
- Ordered at AT&T store on the 15th
- Assigned a phone number at 10:30am however the rep had to manually enter the iphone order later
- When I called ATT on the phone - they said the order was entered into the main system at 6:21pm EST
- Since the order has been placed, there are 2 pending authorizations on the credit card, which im not happy about
- Order now has shipped (without SIM which is confusing because its a new number and I have it sent to my home)
Hope this gives peace of mind to someone

I just Called AT&T Premier orders and i had her look my order up on her side. She told me that my line is already with an iPhone 4 and its at the warehouse waiting to be shipped(she called it dip or something like that). She said that orders are being processed last night. I ordered online through premier on 6/15 at 8 am.
Mine just shipped last night. I didn't get that email, just an order confirmation.

Nice. Did you also receive the AT&T email confirmation for your iPhone on 6/15? If so, what time did you recieve it?

I was concerned to the fact that I haven't received a shipment confirmation.
She assured me that ALL ORDERS DONE ON JUNE 15th WILL BE SHIPPED ON WEDNESDAY AND RECEIVED ON THURSDAY THE 24th regardless on what time they were ordered .. She says they just had a meeting regarding this !!!
Also, the fact that some people have received confirmation already and some have not is because they are also processing by the first letter of the last name !!!
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride !! Hopefully Thursday will get here soon

I ordered on Tuesday at 8am and my order has not moved. I have talked to AT&T Premier numerous times and they say all is ok but premier status is still ATTENTION - nothing yet and I cannot even get through on the phone.

I order it over the phone (611) because when i try to login in to my premier account i couldn't see the any iphones not even the new iphone to order itI am in your boat; order number starts with EXTP with 6/15 and still backordered; where did you order your phone?

I ordered my upgrade on the 15th at 5:00pm EST...
Even though the status page shows order date of 6/16/2010...
But, I did speak to my AT&T Premier rep earlier today and she confirmed it will be shipped on the 24th... I'm not sure if that means I'll get it on the 25th or the 24th...
