AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Mine was pre-ordered just after 4am CST on the 7th and still showing backordered.

However, what's worse is that I looked this morning and the hold that was placed on the funds for mine when I ordered appears to have been released today. Can't get through to AT&T premier order support right now due to "high volume". They just disconnect and say to call back later. Haven't received any other emails other than the initial confirmation that said it would arrive on the 14th.

Everyone I talk to says something different. Including AT&T premier and the regular website giving me different order status.

Can't believe I have spent this much time researching a phone order! I need a bit of a priority check! :)
 
ATT Premier Order

I also placed my order fairly early on 10/7 at 7:30 AM EST. I immediately received a confirmation e-mail with a stated expected delivery date of 10/14.

However, the premier order status page shows a pre-order status. The regular ATT order status page shows backordered with an order date of 10/8.

Who knows what is going on at this point, but hopefully someone else that ordered through premier will have better luck.
 
I now see my confusion.

If you check your order under "my orders," at ATT site (logged into account) it will say different information such as "processing."

The order status site:

Is where I guess the majority of you are getting the "Pending Shipment." Mine is pending shipment there too, but logged into my AT&T account it says "Processing."
 
pre order status!

I have a business account so it wouldn't let me pre order online, so i pre ordered it at the ATT store Just before 2pm (EST). my status just says in progress. I hope i get it by friday! anyone else pre ordered like i did?
 
Anyone notice this on the ATT order status page:

Pre-ordered devices will ship on or around Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
 
If I click on the link in the email I got at 5:17am EST it takes me to a mobile upgraded page which shows me as processing. If I click on the link for full site the status is pre-order. If I call 611 it says backordered. If I call premier it days processed and ready to ship. I ordered at 5:15am. The funds have been on hold on my card since then as well. I don't know what to believe.

Yes I have noticed this, however all of my emails from AT&T have said that my phone should be at my door by the 14th
 
Mine says 'backordered' also. But, I have a Premier account and did back in June 2010 for the iPhone 4. The exact same thing occurred. Had the backordered info then in the 11th hour it switched and arrived on time. I wouldn't sweat it. I figure even if it doesn't come, not much you can do about it. I'm done going early in the morning to the stores. Too many goof balls.
 
My At&t order status just changed (within the last 30 mins) and the "1" that was in the "backordered" column has disappeared.

Very happy to see that things seem to be moving along.

Here's to hoping that ALL of us who got up at 2 or 3 in the morning to pre-order will have no problems and the devices will be in our hands before the weeks end. We deserve it!

I ordered a 64 Black through the ATT Premier site on 10/7 at 10:05 a.m. I received a confirmation email within an hour stating that it was reserved and expected to be delivered on 10/14. My order status says back-ordered and shows my order was placed on 10/9, which makes no sense.

I've been through this waiting game a few times (3GS and 4) Back-ordered means: Not on the 14th.

Interesting, I have the same. When I login to my acct it says "Processing" and shows backordered. :confused:
 
Finally I am on hold with Premier without being disconnected - Anyone have any questions you would like me to ask?
 
I ordered mine on ATT website direct at 1:30PDT, got a confirmation email at 1:33 confirming my order and stating a delivery date of Friday 10/14.

My order over the weekend showed up as backordered, this morning I decided to call ATT to see what is going on.

Basically dont waste your time calling them, they have no idea what to tell customers and for me I was constantly put on hold for them to "find out" some information.

The bottom line from them was this (which IMO is the furthest from the truth since they have no accurate information)..
They told me..
1) They do not do Overnight (false)
2) They state on their website and over the phone that the SHIPPING date is 10/14 (false they state online 10/13, with DELIVERY on 10/14)
3) Shipping time is 7-14 days (how the hell?)

Anyways, now my order on the order status shows as In progress and pending shipment so Hopefully thats a good sign

I have been charged, I cannot tell if this is still pending or fully authorized yet, its still too early on my account.

Hopefully we get this thing by Friday or screw you ATT, I would have ordered through Apple.com!

if I log into my ATT account, under orders it shows nothing, nor does my account summary show my new line. But if I login to the ATT app on my iphone, my current and new line both show up. Odd.

My Premier Status shows Oct 7th as an order day but the Att.com status site shows Oct 9th (yesterday).

Backordered.

There are two ways to find your recent order: either search using your order information, or log in with your wireless number and password.

Pre-ordered devices will ship on or around Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.


Search for Your Order
Select Order Search to find your order using your order number or contact number.

Mine has just departed. Should be in the US tomorrow. Hopefully. :)
Oh. And I ordered mine off of Apple at 4:15am EST.

I don't entirely mind going to wait a couple of hours at the apple store on release day, but if there is a chance i can avoid it, and there is "signs" that it will still be delivered by this friday i would rather pre-order

Nope. A friend of mine ordered his yesterday, and his shipment status is still processing with a shipment estimate of 1-2 weeks.
