AT&T Premier slow to update

I have AT&T Premier, and I placed my order Friday at about 2:00 A.M. PST. I don't understand why I don't have my tracking info, or the stupid website being updated. My email from AT&T says they have my phone reserved for me, and I should expect to get it on Friday.

However I don't understand why so many people are "Preparing for Shipping", or have gotten their tracking info. Any other AT&T "Premier" people feeling so not "Premier"?

nah, next step is processing, you will be one of the ones getting it in 14-21 days, sorry :(

Mine shows the same thing, but I ordered right when the AT&T website first started working, email confirmation said delivery on the 14th and my orders say they were placed on the 7th

They are just being slow about updating the status on their site
 
I don't know but am I the only one who feels that ATT has really fallen off their game. I would have expected this level of customer service from a prepaid company but not from ATT.

Basically, everyone who has pre-ordered from ATT has gotten a big middle finger and a response of "You'll get it when you get it".

Really ???? Didn't your order confirmation tell you that you get it on the 14th? At least wait until after the promised delivery date - if it doesn't not show up, you have all the right to complain, until than: they told you it will come on the 14th. They don't need to hold your hand until than.
 
I'm not super thrilled with the whole "Backordered" thing, but as someone said in another thread, it's a phone, not an organ.

I ordered online at 5AM EST from AT&T. I am a premier customer & my confirmation email said the phone would be delivered on the 14th. Here is the status I get from both the normal order status page & the premier account order status page.

Relax, I was in the same boat as you with the iPhone 4. In fact, my status never went off back-ordered until the day before it was shipped.. and when it finally shipped, it came from China to my door within 15 hours. Heck, it actually came a day before the launch day :)
 
My 3 lines with the 16 gig black all moved from "BackOrdered" to "Processing."

My 64 gig black is still "BackOrdered" - but it was a few hours late showing up on the web site at all (showed up instantly on the Primer site, and the confirmation e-mail was only one minute later than the others saying expected delivery on the 14th - just the normal ATT customer site lagging behind).

Sadly, the 64 gig phone is MINE - and it's the only one that maaay not make it on the 14th. Bummer.

Some might argue it is the extension of a very important organ .... (at least for men)

Have you ever worked for a company that received delivery of an item from another company and then accepted pre-orders from hundreds of thousands of different customers and attempted to track these orders? I'm sure there is some difficulty around such a process.
 
I have received 5 comformation emails 3 the first day, 1 the next day and 1 today. Has anyone else received multiple emails from att? All from the same order

yeah yeah yeah all Apple customers have already had their orders shipped, its the AT&T customers that are ancy

Mine has not shipped. I ordered from apple. I can't get the ups trick to work for me though so it may have.
 
I just called ATT and the phone rep told me that regardless of when the iPhones were pre-ordered, all phones will not be released to be shipped until October 14th with an estimated 1 to 2 business days for delivery. =( This goes against the email I received which told me I would get my phone on the 14th.

They lied to you. There are orders shipping, so obviously that isn't true.

Well it seems Sprint has done a great job handling tracking and order status and they are the underdog who is inexperienced in the pre-order area versus ATT and Verizon who have already done this several times now.

I think its reasonable to expect a little more status update than a pending shipment and being told by customer reps that they have no idea when I will get it, could be several days from friday.

I would probably be just as anxious as you if I pre-ordered a 4S.. haha. The worst part was when people who ordered off AT&T finally saw their iPhone 4 marked as shipped while mine was still on backorder. Oh those times..

They don't owe you any additional status update. The status is the same as it was in your confirmation email. You'll get it on the 14th.

This is the 4th email I get from AT&T saying

"We have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment.

Your order cannot be changed or canceled at this time."

Has anyone that ordered with AT&T have their ordered shipped?


Also, I was charged $256 on Friday morning by AT&T.

You know, they are probably already annoyed from the stress for taking this hundred and thousands of orders ... now when I image all those people calling AT&T to get some 'insider' information of when exactly this one specific phone will show up on the doorstep, I would make up worse stories like that.

Come on, if you need to know check online - don't annoy other people over the phone, all they can do is check online and tell you the same information, they don't have additional information.

I would say this is good news. You don't have anything in the backorder column and you got multiple confirmations.

I got one and mine is in the backorder column. :(
 
I'm excited for it, and while I'm a little bit miffed that my 10/7 afternoon order shows 10/8 on the AT&T website, I suppose it's my own fault for not ordering first thing in the AM. A little extra waiting won't be unbearable.
