New member here. Thought I would add my info. Purchased a white 16gb from AT&T online as soon as their site went live (about an hour after Apple/Sprint/Verizon). Transferring my number from Sprint. This morning my order status changed to "Shipped" and a FedEx tracking number was listed (no info yet on FedEx.com). Qty back-ordered shows 0, so I think I'm in good shape.
 
Yes it gives me this every time.

I was getting the same thing, so I called them and was told that my order was never completed. I was never told to complete anything and I did it online so the Ts and Cs were auto accepted.

We ended up having to cancel our order and ordered through Apple. We posted our disgust on ATTs Facebook wall and was told to email a specific ATT rep and they'll look into it for us.

Whole situation was a debacle from the beginning. F'n hate ATT...
 
you know going on this forum helps me no way, except stress me out more. you people need to calm down, att did this last year and the year before. YOUR PHONES WILL GET HERE ON THE 14TH! Stop complaining that your not getting tomorrow, when it was never advertised to get here on the 13th. Don't call CS reps because they have no idea in hell what they are saying. JUST SIT BY YOUR DOOR ON FRIDAY. Enjoy :):apple:
 
If anybody ordered a phone from AT&T you are not getting it Friday UNLESS they ship them overnight which I highly doubt they did. I just talked to FedEx. My phone went into "pending shipment" status late last night. The tracking number does not resolve on their site. He said they are sitting in Texas and will not be shipped until tomorrow. The absolute earliest if they send it overnight will be Friday but he said most likely the 17th. I suppose if you're near Texas then maybe you'll have a better chance of getting it Friday.
I ordered the phone through AT&T as soon as their site opened up which was around maybe 4 AM Eastern time the day the went on sale.

I did this last year and the exact same thing happened. Nothing updated until Friday.

I ordered a 32GB 4s as well on Friday evening and I got my shipment notification today - I also got an email from them confirming my order right after placing it that said it would ship in 14-21 days.
I think they're just batching orders by phone type and location or att account number to get them done. would make sense.

I hope what you say is correct, and in fact i tried to search status of my order and other orders that came from the same at&t store as well and find out my local at&t store has not ship any iPhone4S out yet and we're all have the same situation. Still..in my status page, nothing has change. No progress what so ever.

So Unnecessarily Confusing...Don't give up hope.

I ordered at about 2 am on Friday morning. I have a premier account.

I received the initial email stating:

Thank you for your purchase from the AT&T Premier Online Store. We're pleased with your choice of AT&T as your wireless service provider.

Your iPhone has been reserved and is expected to be delivered on Oct 14, 2011.



Since then, it has been a bitch to track this shipment. There are at least three different screens that I can get to that talk about this order. Each look different and appear to reference different data. One on my phone that is orange and white... it says that my order is "processing". One from the original email referenced above listing it as "pre-order" phase.

Then lastly, the one I just found on here: http://wireless.att.com ......I use that one and it is VASTLY more complete in terms of information available. On that site it shows Shipment Status: SHIPPED.....then even gives me a date of 10/10 for the shipment date!!!

This whole system is janky. At least three different portals all saying different stuff!!!

This leads me to believe that my phone is in Dallas and they will be shipping ground because I'm in DFW. :mad: UPS is not kind to my packages, and delivers after 6:00pm

you know I have been following this thread for a few days now. I find it interesting that some people are complaining why we are beating this to death and what not. I am not a child, I am just excited and this is the first launch phone I have ever been in on. I say to everyone: If you are adding poitive input and like the conversation then drive on and have fun like many of us are.

If you are one who wants to talk trash and question us then go some where else to stir stuff up. I am enjoying the anticipation and look forward to everyone talking on here who want their phones.

You'll be fine. The reason you can't track it is because it hasn't been shipped yet.
 
That's normal. Most banks clear authorizations after a certain number of hours.

FYI, I used to work for a credit card bank. This information is correct. Please ignore the children that are voting down a helpful post because they have a grudge against me.

I've only bothered a CSR once as I haven't been getting emails from AT&T about my order. Turns out I'm an idiot and forgot a letter in my address. Otherwise I've just been using the order status pages to check things out.

Now I'm just waiting for my iPhone to move so the FedEx tracking will work. :)

Anyway, I cannot see my status and the only way I can get an update is to call CSR, which I have, 7 times. The best rep I got was this morning and she assured me my order was fine and being prepared for shipment. I did have to give her the words "prepared for shipment" but then she confirmed. Just now I searched UPS track by reference for the Mail Innovations and it matches a package. :) I am relieved and hope to receive my package on Friday.

I think the logistics are awesome...

from China to America and many other countries by today (Oct 12th)...

they can't ship them out until this evening...

they don't want a bunch of folks saying hey I got mine on thursday (Oct13th)!!!

The vast majority of us will get them between Friday morning and Saturday evening at the latest.

Between tonight and thursday night our tracking numbers will give us detailed info.

MacRumors please don't crash tonight!!!

I think many more phones will go to shipped status today and tonight.

Apple is genius at everything they do (in spite of AT&T)!!!

I know that! I'm upset because the original email said FEDEX not UPS. UPS ground packages come to me with tire marks and stains on the boxes....just last week an Amazon box came to me open at two corners, at 7:30 pm. If they used UPS ON it might be handled nicely but I'm thinking it's shipping ground. If the phones are really in Texas, they could ship ground and still get here Friday (night!), just not necessarily in good condition.
 
With the FedEx site not recognizing the tracking # I decided to call them as they usually can see more information on the package than online, it happened last year with my iPhone 4. He said they took possession of the package yesterday and I should be receiving it tomorrow!!:D:D:D:D:D

What is a Premierce account? I've never heard of it ever since I've been with ATT.

did u get 3 confirmation emails on the same day confirming that they "processed" the orders.... or were they all in one order?

Mind explaining how you do this? I've tried searching by reference but still get nothing. I too was assured I would be getting this package on the 14th by CSR at AT&T.
 
Finally got a UPS tracking number this evening. It doesn't show as shipping on my premier tracking page, but the normal wireless.att.com order status shows the tracking.

Because of my employer I am now a Premier customer. To sum it up, I am a normal customer who gets a slight discount with ATT due to my employment. Thats all.
