Actually, I just got an email that both are canceled. Looks like the shipping address different from the billing address issue. This will ALWAYS be different for me... UGH!

They'd BETTER be able to reset my eligibility so I can go to Apple.com.

I called ATT this morning about the email I got stating that my order was canceled asking what was up. Rep looked at my account and showed one being shipped and one pending. I looked at my FedEx tracking number while I was on the phone with him and it showed in transit. So he could not explain why I got email stating my order was canceled or why I was seeing that on my screen. He showed different info. He had me verify that my T&C was accepted and I reentered my info and it showed order already in process.

I got email follow up from him stating that I would get T&C in 60 minutes and I had 30 days to accept them... makes no sense.

I'll call again later today, but right now it looks like I'll get at least a partial order, best case scenario is both phones are in the box.

You are wrong.
Only if the package is still in the warehouse or somewhere where they can change it before it ships. If the package is in route you will most certainly not be able to do this.

I'm wrong at stating an opinion? That's interesting. I'm saying they SHOULD reroute it for you. As in that's my opinion. I didn't say they WOULD do it. I certainly have had a package rerouted for a corporation once already shipped - left the warehouse. The driver called me and asked me and I gave a new delivery location. I've done this more than once. I'm saying they should do it for individuals and it's a shame they won't. I'm certain it's possible in this day and age, but apparently for whatever reason, FedEx won't do it. I think that's ridiculous.

I am still stuck in back order.. Ordered via ATT Store at 10:30 AM EST on 10/7 ... Order confirmed on 10/07.... Status on ATT website still says Back Ordered.

Fading hope that I will get the phone tomorrow but still crossing fingers.

Same her. I ordered on 10/7 at 9:00AM. Got a phone call the next day from ATT asking about the porting over of numbers and to get verbal authorization that I wanted to do so. I agreed they said the order was being processed. The Premier site showed alert, so when I called that evening Premier explained to me there was an issue with my family plan (I was on a family plan but my fiancee was on an individual plan) that they would correct the issue and "overnight" my phone...throughout this whole time my CC had 4 pre auth charges from AT&T for $1.00 so I thought everything was great...

On October 11th I saw the premier site still showed alert on the second check mark..so I called back..this is when I was told there was an issue and they would have to get me on the line with the credit department (since I'm a new customer I figured no biggie they just want to do a credit check and make sure I am who I say I am...they asked me 3 questions based on my credit report...answered all questions correctly and they told me I have been "approved" to join the AT&T team...

That night my alert check mark on the premier site turned into a pre-order check mark...(exciting I thought)

So Next day I check AT&T order status page which never worked for me and it finally works...only problem is it shows both phones "pending shipment" "qty back-ordered 1" and an order date of October 11th (premier still shows the 8th but they both have different order numbers)...

Such inconsistancies are leaving a bitter taste in my mouth...especially the lack-luster customer service reps..sorry had 2 vent

i am most probably not going to be getting my phone tomorrow though i ordered over the phone friday morning.

i have another member on my family plan who is eligible for a full upgrade. if i use that upgrade in an apple store tomorrow and get a phone, can i simply put my sim in that new phone and when mine arrives put his sim in my original phone?

att has told me its too late to cancel.

I ordered my two 4S's on Friday around 10:00. My order has never shown up on AT&T's website. I called Tuesday and they said that there systems are all jammed up and I may never see my order online, but my order was still open. I didn't get my accepting of "terms and conditions" until 8:00pm Tuesday night. Got an order acceptance on Wednesday, but no status beyond that. Credit card not charged, no sign of a tracking number or anything.
I may cancel my pre-order and take my chances at the stores.
 
btw, since we were in a similar situation - Crystal with Premier Support made it clear to me that it goes by the day the order was placed, not the day it was received by AT&T. Ex. I placed our orders on 10/7, AT&T processed it on 10/8, and there's a 10/10 date in there somewhere too. She assured me (for whatever that's worth at this point) that because my orders were placed on 10/7 our phones would be at our house on 10/14. My wife's order is showing shipped - picked up 10/13 at 6:27am CDT, info sent to FedEx 10/13 at 7:14 am CDT - seems backwards to me but it does say that estimated delivery is 10/14 by 3 pm. bummer because we'll be in dallas tonight. if only we could pull over the truck on i-35. :)

but hey, she has her tracking number so happy wife, happy car ride.

If you look at my previous post... I talked to a CSR and then a manager earlier. He said there is a shipment going out today FedEx Overnight Priority. It should ship before 4:30PM for tomorrow delivery. Lets Hope!
 
Wow, followed someone's suggestion of clearing the cache in Chrome. Turns out my phone is moving.

Mine is shipping via UPS. Their website states you can have it held at the facility for pickup. Since I have to work, I'm tempted to do this, but I'm afraid they'll hold it in Texas or it'll get messed up some other way. Is anyone else going to request UPS hold it since they will be at work Friday?

did you actually talk UPS about that and question be what time on Friday could you pick it up?

i have a question; i ordered the iphone 4s under a different # under my contract that was eligible, how will i activate the iphone (with the number i ordered it with, or my number?) Thanks

I now have $320.89 more in my checking account than yesterday. My iPhone purchase has disappeared and I've been credited. Still on back order after an early 7th order.

Strange.

Credit authorization dropped off after a certain amount of hours. This is normal, dont worry about it.

Yes absolutely you can order an iPhone upgrade on one eligible line then swap SIM's to use that phone on another line. I've done this twice so far and am doing it again this time.

Worst case you may need to activate the new iPhone first BEFORE swapping the SIM's, but you won't know for sure until you actually try it. I mention this because in past years you had to connect a new iPhone to iTunes to activate it, and if you swapped out the SIM's first, iTunes would detect this and refuse to proceed until you put the original SIM that it shipped with back in. So in that case, you'd simply activate the new iPhone first in iTunes (but not sync anything), eject it from iTunes, swap SIM's with the old iPhone, then reconnect it to iTunes and begin a restore and sync process. Now the new iPhone 4S might be different this time and may not require activation through iTunes... I don't know that yet.

To finish the whole "SIM swap process" off properly, you're supposed to inform AT&T which SIM number (ICCID) is in which iPhone (IMEI number). This can be done either online in your AT&T account, or by calling AT&T customer service. They won't care one iota that you did the swap, they just need to keep their systems straight to make things work smoothly.

In other news, Fedex has my phone as "In Transit" from Fort Worth to Dallas... lists tomorrow as the delivery date, but fingers crossed... last update was that it has left the Fedex facility in Fort Worth. Probably currently en route to a smaller facility in Dallas somewhere.

No, I just read it a little while ago that it was an option, so I am just considering it at this point.

UPS questions

Mine has been in Louisville since yesterday at 9 am. Asked UPS if I could just pick it up, but they said that only the sender can update the delivery option before the 1st delivery attempt.

Questions I have are..

1) Can you tell UPS to hold an item or does it need to be attempted be delivered one time?:confused:

2) If can hold it the first time what time on Friday can you pick it up. I figuring it comes in sometime on Thursday night, but think have wait until afternoon to pick up items. :rolleyes:

3) maybe just try putting a signed note on the door. What are the changes that will work?

Yeah mine is still saying backordered to. I ordered though the AT&T store because for some stupid reason i could not order online, the day of the pre order.
