Can anyone give me hope?

On 10/7, times EDT:
o 04:55am ordered 64gb black (Mine!) from ATT. Order confirmed via email, delivers 10/14.
o 11:57am ordered 16gb black (grandson's) from ATT, [perfectly valid] card not accepted, used another, order confirmed, not backordered, now in Ft. Worth. Good.
o 01:48 64gb (Mine!) needs attention email, called told that some credit companies were rejecting early am orders, used another credit card, confirmed, told "This will not change your place in line."

At 11:10, mine is still listed as Pending / Backordered. Can anyone reassure me? Thanks!

I'm not sure this is true, I personally haven't even seen a pending charge or authorization on my card, however using fedex tracking my phone is well on it's way to being delivered tomorrow.

I think there is one thing everyone in this forum can agree on it's that AT&T isn't consistent in anything they do. They are almost as uninformed as we are on this entire thing.

did you just put your order number in or did you add something to it?

woke up this morning to check fedex website thinking it would finally be there, and nope. tracking # still doesn't work

I had the same issue until I copied the tracking number and pasted it in the tracking box on the FedEx home page. This revealed the tracking screen, with an estimated delivery of "10/14 by 3:00" while clicking on the tracking number in the AT&T e-mail still shows "not found." Give it a try, and good luck!
 
Appears you're the one of the few that'll be getting yours before launch day. Lucky.. upload some pics of a speed test, real excited to see the "4G" speed tests.

Someone at work had ordered and iPad. I tracked it all the way here.

Bad on me.

No iPhone 4s for me today.

I still have no tracking number.
 
My order has shipped. I have a tracking number and it shows it left Texas and will be delivered by EOD tomorrow. My credit card no longer has a pending charge and the actual charge for the phone has not hit my card. Maybe it'll be free? LOL! ;) :D

I hope everything is ok with mine. The most recent movement on my tracking number is: "Agent pickup; in transit to UPS facility." but that was at 1am in Memphis. I'm a little concerned about the pending charge disappearing and the money being returned to my account. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
I ordered my phone in store on Friday just a few minutes after 9AM. My phone is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Don't give up yet though.

Remember, the majority of the phones are being sent over night. I order stuff next day ALL THE TIME. 99% of the time I don't get tracking info / acct update / notification till sometime during the middle of the night.

Considering that my shipping label said the 10th and actual account didn't say shipped until the 12th.

It's safe to assume your phone could be boxed as well and account just not updated yet.

We ordered 2 white 32 from a corporate store 10/7 at 11:00 EST. Still back ordered. I am POed. We are switching from blackberry to the iphone and after yesterday's blackberry outage a little more anxious to make the switch.

If you have a tracking number, you're getting your phone friday. Why worry?
 
My retail order on 10/7 for a white 64GB is STILL "In Progress" "Pending Shipment" and a 1 under Backordered. Asked a rep online and got

Tashia Johnson: I see that your order was place on 10/07/2011 if you made your order before 5:30pm on that day your package should arrive on or a couple of days after 10/14/2011. You can also check the status of your package by going on line to att.com/orderstatus.
You: Ok. I placed it at 10:30am. The order still says "In Progress" "Pending Shipment" and 1 in Backordered column
Any idea if I will receive it tomorrow?

There is no delivery on Saturdays. I just spoke with a supervisor and she said AT&T specifically said that NONE of the iphones are to be held regardless of delivery attempts. They told UPS that there will be three delivery attempts and if those fail, it will be returned. There are no holds at all nor any pickups. You may find a driver willing to bend the rule, but the official stance is it HAS to be delivered to your house.
That is not true. I have had packages turn up missing before and ever since I filed a claim, my house is on a "do not leave package" list. If a delivery is attempted, then it goes to the hub OR a UPS Store.

I have confirmed this already.

Remember, they can still mark your phone as shipped and overnight it to you.

The time to worry is if you wake up tomorrow and your progress is still the same.
 
Dude I have no idea why you do not know the difference between a bank debit card, and a credit card, but I have posted at least twice that this pertains to online banking checking accounts/debit cards.

debit card = draws money out of your checking account against your available balance.

credit card = draws money out of "virtual" account up to your credit line






I have NEVER in all my years, ordered something online and had to "wonder" if I was actually going to get my purchase, (att's process flat out sucks, and it needs to change) :mad:

All I know is that I will be getting my 4s tomorrow, and I hope everyone else here does as well. The amount of bs/uncertainty att has put us ALL through is absolutley unacceptable, total crapola !!!

How did you find out your UPS tracking number? Was that sent to you separately? So in your case it still shows backordered on the order status page, but you got a UPS email giving you a tracking number?

I used phone number and zip in UPS reference tracking.

Sadly it was an iPad that someone at work ordered.
It just got delivered.

In other news, Fedex has my phone as "In Transit" from Fort Worth to Dallas... lists tomorrow as the delivery date, but fingers crossed... last update was that it has left the Fedex facility in Fort Worth. Probably currently en route to a smaller facility in Dallas somewhere.


Probably Memphis like everyone else's, even if you live as close as 20 minutes away.
 
Well, now both the AT&T Premier site and the AT&T Order Status pages show a tracking number. This time, though, the tracking number (FedEx) actually works. It has updated to show that the iPhone left Fort Worth, Texas, today at 6:00am and is estimated to arrived "October 14, 2011, by 3:00 PM". So far, so good...

I have confirmed this already.

UPS told me twice that ALL alternate delivery options (holds, redirects, notes, pickup after initial delivery, MyChoice, etc...) were null. AT&T specifically told UPS NOT to honor them for any reason. You may have some trouble if UPS is following the rules. She told me they even told UPS that no changes to delivery were approved even if they came from AT&T. This is information that is current as of 30 minutes ago. If UPS doesn't follow the request by AT&T you may be able to pick it up. But I am certain that will be the exception and definitely not the rule.
