AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Well. I'm still in back-order for the older version.... I ordered the free 3gS online on the 9th and was told in the store 30 mins ago that I won't be getting my phone until everyone who has ordered the 4S between the 7th and the 14th gets theirs. This includes all of the phone orders, online orders, and in-store orders combined. She said it was because they put all of the other apple orders on hold for the mass demand of IPhone 4S's that needed to be shipped. Cheer up. I'm in the worst shape on the thread... I believe this anyway.

Dude, it is Thursday here in the US, and 90% of the posters on this thread are "wondering/hoping" if they'll get their phones tomorrow.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but my backorder-1 changed to backorder-0 within the hour. Def a good sign. I also just checked the detailed order and it changed from backorder to processing. Hang in there they are starting ship another batch.
Same here!!!Within the past 10 minutes my backorder 1 changed to 0. Progress! Ordered Early AM on 10/7 via ATT online and got a 64GB Black 4s

Mine also just changed from "backordered." This was very much like the shipping and communication situation with the iPad 2 on-line orders. AT&T met their shipping promises, but their system and updating just wasn't as smooth as most would like. I'm expecting that we will begin to see lots of updates to shipping/processing in the next couple of hours with most pre-orders (done early last Friday) being delivered tomorrow. That's just my experience after a few years of dealing with these.

Jealous, but I can't complain, should be here by 3PM tomorrow. Just so happens I have nothing on my schedule today, and plenty of time to play with it. Oh well.
ATT shipping address
So I spent 3 days on the phone with ATT confirming that my shipping address was successfully changed to my home, from my billing address. I called UPS to confirm only to find out that they are still shipping to the wrong address. I am waiting to speak with ATT now to see WTF happened.
Did this happen to anyone else?? I am about to lose it on ATT.

It was the same way with the iPhone 4 also. I received the tracking number after the phone had already arrived.
Well that does give me some hope, but I am still backordered for now. I'm really starting to ramp up mentally for an all-nighter in line.

my UPS tracking is not changes since 12:13 am last night.
it is at "DFW Airport, TX, United States" as "Origin Scan" and after that nothing still now...
It is Scheduled Delivery: Friday, 10/14/2011, by 3:00 P.M
So i think i will get it still...i think UPS is not updating it's system very well.

This has probably been asked already, but if I did pre-order and my phone does NOT ship by tonight, can I wait in line tomorrow morning at AT&T to try and purchase a phone?
