Hello!

So I ordered my 4S, black 64gb, last Friday afternoon (before the announcement of 1 to 2 week delay), and was told phone would be here tomorrow, Friday. Been patiently, albeit anxiously, waiting for any new info on it (and reading this blog), because until just now, AT&T's order status page has read only backordered/processing. Normally I wouldn't care about the delivery date, but I've been using with a 3GS without a backlight for several weeks, having no backlight sucks, and I am so done with the phone! Finally, I have FedEx shipping information that my phone has left Texas, and will be here, Seattle, by 3 p.m. tomorrow - YAY!!!! Good luck to everybody! :)
 
So my wife called me a half hour ago, "I want a white 32g 4s" she says :rolleyes:

I just called my buddy Robert who works at the att store in town, he told me he would "put one aside so that she can pick it up after work tomorrow".
(of course I'll set him up with a few free dank nugs, for his effort) ;)

If you're friendly with the employees and make friends with them, you have an advantage :D

This is BS that i ordered mine friday morning and have no tracking number and it still says backordered. Yet people ordered saturday have a tracking number.

Hah.. probably doesn't hurt to have something to trade either. Hope it works out, but that said, let's see what employee Robert can pull off when their computers are showing 1 left in stock and the manager is breathing down everyone's neck to find it ASAP because he verified the inventory personally in the AM.
 
Over the phone

I ordered mine over the phone on Friday at 5:30pm and received a text on Monday saying that if I accept terms and conditions email by midnight Monday night, then I will receive my phone on 10/14.
If ATT went out of their way to text me that, shouldn't I be getting my phone tomorrow?
Every time I call customer service reps, the usual answer I get from the more intelligent ones is that I very well could receive my order tomorrow and that my order is processing "ready to ship".
I haven't received a tracking info email outside of the email that I got telling me that the order is processing for shipping and i should receive tracking info shortly.

The ATT CSR's kept telling me that they won't receive tracking info for orders until they start shipping out tomorrow.

Has anyone ordered Friday 10/7 over the phone in the afternoon and not received shipping info yet and can't check the status online cause it won't show up?

Throw in another NC iPhone here, looks like our phones will be making the plane ride together! Though, yours heads east from there, while mine has to come up the ole' mountain.

there are plenty, myself included. i accepted the TC email when i got it on the 11th. ATT is pretty much telling me i will not get my phone tomorrow..

I agree, my sister got up early (works 12 hours + college) just to pre-order the phone because she has to have a smartphone for work and her 3G battery is horrible. She ordered at 7am Friday and has backordered just like you, but Maryah ordered through AT&T premier which f***s up orders a lot.

My phone is still in DFW as of 1 AM last night. Anyone get any updates from Dallas? I'm impatiently waiting for mine in New York.

I ordered 2 phone @ 330am eastern time oct 7.

yesterday i get a text saying my 32gbwhite iphone 4s has shipped thru ups. I track the package this morning it says destation city , orlando Fl
I live In Maryland . WTH
Call ATT rep advises my order has not shipped. That I received that text message in error. Also that my white 32 gb is on back order.

Great thanks ATT. I place my phone my order. I have not been able to track my order online or thru their automated system. :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

That sucks, I never signed a TC or got the email, and my 32gb White is at DFW waiting for the UPS DC-10 to take off at 449 PM.

thats for people who placed an order over the phone. The people that did it online automatically accepted it.
 
Still waiting on any information on my three phones (32GB White, 64GB Black and 64GB White).

I placed the order at 4AM EST through AT&T.com, received immediate confirmation, and still have no tracking information online. We're switching a family plan from Verizon, and apparently AT&T waited until this past Monday to port the phone numbers, so online our "date ordered" is showing 10/10 instead of 10/7. Obviously this was extremely frustrating after a long all-nighter trying to get these orders in right away, yet AT&T reps are still insisting that the phones will be here by tomorrow.

Still, online it's showing "In Progress" for status and a 1 in the QTY Backordered column.

dont even bother to call. Stay up whole night ordered 4am 7th, called twice today and told differently by two reps. Was pissed off by second one told me they ship by processed day which was 10th and have to wait extra 20 days, i told them i dont give a crap when you guys processed my order and cancelled my pre-order right away. Never going back to ATT ever again...:mad:
