AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Well, I went through the Premier site and it has the correct order date (10/7) and no signs of backordering. Just shows status received (check), pre-order (check), shipping (blank). Not sure if I should be encouraged or not.

I've got the same situation going on for my order. Though, I did move from BackOrdered in the myATT order tracking to Processing. So...I'm hoping for something by the end of today or sometime tomorrow.

Possible but ATT Premier (nothing special but just different) order eventually show up on the ATT.com status site and shows incorrect information i.e the order date shows Oct 9th but Premier shows Oct 9th. So there is definitely a question about the accuracy of the information.

This is my exact situation so that give me hope that things are fine, but that my premier order is inaccurately shown on the regular AT&T order status.

Same here. I'm hoping this is more accurate than the AT&T order status that says backordered. If we ordered before the rumored 4pm hopefully we will be fine though.

If your order was placed:
Before 4PM EST on Oct 7, Delivery starting on Oct 14
Between 4pm EST Oct 7 to 12AM EST Oct 8th, Delivery in 14-21 days
After 12am EST on Oct 8th, Delivery in 21-28 days

But their website did not even display the "Preorder" button until about +/-4:20am or later. I was on both apple.com and att.com refreshing constantly. Thats just another BS story it sounds like...

I have no dates on my premier status at all besides October 7th: ordered. October 9th: last updated. I wish it was as detailed as the regular AT&T order status page.

Lol yeah after posting and reading other similar posts I quickly realized. My eye just drew to the 4 EST and was like WTF?

Ugh its just a phone, but we always want it first 😀
 
Called Premiere to see what was up with my order status since it says 'Attention!'.

All he had to say was that the order was under security review and that I would get an email if there were any problems that I needed to address.

After I told him I already knew that and asked if there was any additional information I could provide to push along the issue, he basically repeated what he already said - to be rest assured that I would get an email if there were any issues and that I would get an email confirmation once it shipped.

Bleh.
 
AT&T Premier Account

32GB black 4S ordered from Apple
- confirmation email received Oct 7th 1:56AM (Pacific).
- Tracking number received Oct 10th 4:09AM.

16GB white 4S ordered from AT&T
- premier confirmation email received Oct 7th 2:05AM (Pacific).
- No tracking number received.
- myAT&T order status "BackOrdered"
- Premier order status "Pre-ordered"

Chat with AT&T regarding the 16GB pre-order:
Me: Hi, I just wanted to check on the status of my order of a white 16GB iPhone 4S on line "***-***-****"
Me: The status says "Backordered" so I'm wondering if I can still expect it to be delivered on the 14th
AT&T: The delivery on the 14th may be possible, but not guaranteed. I apologize for this.
Me: Okay, the order was placed at about 2:05AM as soon as pre-orders started, so is there any sort of delay or hold up with this particular order?
AT&T: Unfortunately, you are among hundreds of other customers, whose ordered was placed on back order. There is no particular problem with this order.
Me: Do you know if the order is going to ship out any time soon? As far as I know a 2:05AM order should be among the first batch shipped out.
AT&T: I apologize, I have the same information in the database, I do not have any further information. Once again, I apologize for this.

All good, earlier I saw my one also from June last year for the iPhone 4 and briefly got excited, what a bummer

IMO they will start to ship tomorrow or Wednesday most likely. Bare in mind all people whom ordered from apple.com direct, its coming from Hong Kong/China. ATT is supposedly coming from within the US, which would indicate a closer shipping date and/or tracking number

Last year I was lucky enough to get the 4 a day early, who knows if that will even happen again this year.
 
I know everyone was on the edge of their seat for this info but, my premier online order just moved from back ordered to "Pending Shipment".

7 hours of my work day wasted/enjoyed!

Yea, I had to use my wife's line to upgrade, and I punched in my # when I checked. As soon as I saw the tracking # I got excited and got ahead of myself... :apple: does weird things to my brain. 😛
