How do you get a ATT Premier account anyway? I have a FAN account through work, is this not Premier related?

How many systems does ATT need? lol
 
Just got a reply from an AT&T rep discussing the backorder status:

"Kevin Murphy: "Backordered" normally means that there is not sufficient inventory to satisfy an order. However, since the iPhone 4S is not released until 10/14/2011, every pre-order will show as backordered, there is no stock officially showing in the system until that date."

I'm not sure how much sense this makes since many people are having it taken off, but it makes me hopeful.

I work for local government (fire department). Apparently, when I had them apply the discount for government employees, it made my account Premier.

So, that's how I got it...at least that's what I'm told. lol.

My wife is a teacher, so we get a 15% discount on our family plan. Somehow that makes us a Premier AT&T member. I don't there is any advantage outside of the discount. It's not like being a status member with an airline.
 
He also just told me that they will ship from AT&T on the 14th, I'm really hoping this isn't true.

If they know for sure then they need to update the website because it says on or around the 13th. But that's just it, they don't know for sure and I'm sure if you talk to them again you will get a different story.

haha I was just thinking that. I bet if I got right back on I'd get a different answer. I do hope the backordering thing is true though... :(

Same boat here. The 200MB data is not even an option (not that I want it).
 
Mine still says "Processing" .......joy. Anyone else still at this stage?

On "my orders" on my wireless account it says that, but on the order status page it says "in progress." there are too many different ways to check and every page says something different! its so confusing!! :confused:

Interesting that your order date is October 8th on all of your status pages. For others, the dates have varied on each page.
 
I was just now sent my "terms and conditions" for acceptance from pre-ordering last friday before noon. Hopefully this didn't delay anything.

If you click on "in progress" it says that the warehouse is "processing" the order for shipment. So, "in progress" and "processing" is essentially the same thing.
 
I ordered my phone on the AT&T Premier site. It's still showing "ATTENTION" on order status.

You should call them and get that cleared up.

Could the "Attention" just be because of this statement?

"Your order contains items that are not yet available for shipping. When the pre-ordered items are available, we'll process and then ship all items in your order at the same time."
