FINALLY got answers about my order... from FedEx, not ATT. ATT shows no existence of my order unless I call them and then I just get "in progress." BUT, I called FedEx directly and got a nice guy named Charlie who did a general search for my address: package on its way scheduled for delivery before 10:30AM tomorrow. YES!!
This is a way to check, for all those who don't have a tracking number yet but who did order before the cutoff time (and maybe even those who didn't). It took literally a minute to do.
Thank god. ATT's systems suck but the actuall physical logistics were pulled off and it's going to be on that beautiful FedEx truck before the dew is completely dry on the ground.
Try this, those desperate ones without information: call FedEx at 1.800.463.3339 and ask the automated system for "Operator" and have them do a general search for your delivery address. The operator was able to find my shipment and tell me when it was scheduled for deliver.

Back story on my order: ordered at 9AM EST over the phone on the 7th. Had to do it over the phone as I ordered an unsubsidized option, which wasn't available online (otherwise I would've gladly ordered through Apple). Got my confirmation email a nice 9 hours later at 6:17PM and nothing since. Only info I was ever able to get was through CSRs on the phone, no automated systems showed my order as even existing. Oh, by the way, I ordered a black iPhone, but it is showing as a white one... no big harm done because I think they both look nice, but I might miss the understated look of the black even though the white is beautiful.
