Ok, 12:48AM EST and I finally got the tracking number email from ATT. Finally they come through and catch up with updating my phone. It's in Memphis and will be to me by 10:30AM. So, folks, don't give up if you have no info yet.

Yeah, looked it up but saw that they also do logistics, so I was wondering if anyone knew. Looks like UPS may be the shipper if I am getting my devices tomorrow then.

I haven't had a hold or a charge to my credit card, and mine is shipping, from Premier at that. It may not be over yet!
Business discount?
Sounds like AT&T might be giving you a business discount or something similar that Apple's systems don't have access to show you. Your bill will come from AT&T no matter who you order from so I'd guess you'll be fine either way. I get a 22% discount off AT&T services over $30 through my work.

EVERYONE please keep your hopes high there are so many orders that I have seen that apple has been prepared for all of us. There is jus too much data for FEDEX /UPS to push through the systems then to At&T. So it all about data and you gotta think about the "regular shipments" FEDEX /UPS has. Your order still may say backorder and arrive at your front door Friday. IF you want me to look up a FEDEX tracking number Ill be at work for another 20mins. Send me a private msg and ill try my best to sheed some light on your package.

Crossing my fingers hoping that my phone is on its way, and AT&T is just lagging in their systems.. but my debit card still hasn't been charged yet. This is very discouraging.

Quick summary:
Ordered by phone to AT&T on Friday around 7:30 AM central
T&C email received 10/7 replied 10/9
10/10 order status email showing order number
Many calls and every response imaginable from the reps from not ordered to you will receive it a month from now
Tonight got the email at 11:50 saying order shipped.
I think that I didn't receive any tracking information due to I already live in Fort Worth. All they had to do was deliver it on Friday.
Hang in there everyone. But, this is the last time I try to order by phone.

ugh i ordered from att's website, and i'm a premier customer...just ordered regularly and by ordering regularly i mean online...just punched in the info and bam good to go or so i thought...they've had my 4xx on hold for a week now, called premier CS plenty of times
and they assured me i will get my phone tomorrow. My status has been jumping around from attention to preorder to attention and back to pre order. Now the money is released, and i have no tracking...bunch of poo.
i guess that 200,000 overwhelmed att.'s processing system. Guess i will try to locate one at the local radio shack tomorrow
really hate this premier junk never can get through and never can get a simple answer without having to jump through automated teller hell.

I ordered my phone via AT&T's website, I am a Premier customer (due to my FAN) and I ordered a White 64GB iPhone 4S at 7-Oct 7:00 AM. I had recently upgraded to a family plan.
That morning I get an email from Premier stating that my order has been received.
On the 8th, I see that my credit has been charged (my bank doesn't tell me if it's a hold or not).
Earlier today I was talking to a CSR on the Premier website chat system, and she tells me that my order is being shipped by USPS (lol wut?) and it will ship at earliest on 10/14. I expressed my disbelief but she just apologized.
As of 1:51 AM EDT, I checked my bank account and see that I have more money than I expected, and no longer see that the hold is there. But I suppose that they would really charge me when the phone ships, so the only thing I can determine is that it really hasn't shipped for me.
Well either way, I am going to work from home Friday and just hope for the best... :/

Saw thatSouthern Californians...the UPS DC-10 just unloaded at Ontario, CA at 6:54 PM. I guess the big rigs will be heading out to the various hubs as soon as they are loaded.

UPS .. Does AT&T require you sign?
My iPhone 4S 32GB white is being delivered tomorrow by UPS .. Does AT&T require you sign package in person or can you just leave a note on the door with your tracking number on it signed & dated asking them to kindly leave in hall, grage, porch etc etc?
