AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

I have my money too and mine is shipped. You have a confirmation number for your order as well. I wouldn't look too deep in the backordered status. AT&T is having trouble updating their order statuses.
 
i ordered 16GB black on 10/7 at 3:05am through premiere website. Got a confirmation email at 3:10am. Had been on "attention" status for 3 days until I talked to a supervisor and he apologized and said that was a system error. He then changed my status to "pre-order" and it has been like this since then. But 2 days ago i got a confirmation email saying my phone will ship soon, and that's it. I never got anything back again from AT&T.

I checked the regular AT&T website and found that the status shows order date of 10/10, which is weird.

P.S. Money is still held on my credit card.

Anyone with similar case?

That's what I'm hoping, that the computer systems are being overloaded and out of date. I'll work from home tomorrow.

Memphis is the main air hub for Fedex. From there the next location scan will be your regional air hub. From there your phone will either be trucked or flown to your local Fedex facility.
 
UPS computer delay?

Anxious, as everyone else...

Does anyone believe that UPS might not be able to get all orders out. I'm in Indy and granted its 3 hours from Louisville although if it hasn't left yet, the chances of making it to my in and on my truck by 7. Am is slim.

Tell me Im wrong!

Loosing hope

I am loosing all hope now. Still in backorder limbo. Ordered a 16GB White, online at 3:00AM on 10/7, but my order has an order date of 10/10. Last year I preordered my iPhone 4 through AT&T and I got it the day before.
 
Black, 64GB, ordered through AT&T at 3:30 AM on the 7th. It now sits 20 minutes from my house in Chicago, scheduled for delivery before 3:00 PM.

I'm VERY happy I chose to use AT&T instead of Apple this time, only because UPS doesn't get to my house until almost 6:30 PM, EVERY delivery. I must be last on their route. FedEx however, comes early.

I'll be up early, waiting near the door so I don't miss him, and get the dreaded door tag.

absolutely the same.

There is a credit card fraud issue. so the order did not actually go through when i ordered online at 2:50cst.

I re-order through phone the afternoon. But after the weekend , the online system says i ordered on Monday, that is , Oct 10.

But back ordered thus far.
 
I agree. While I think it's normally safer to buy direct from Apple and MUCH better return policy, the one good thing about my AT&T order is the FedEX.

UPS reaches me after dark too this time of the year, while FedEx will hopefully come before 5pm at the latest. I'm just going to spend a day at home, read some technology news, watch some TV, and patiently (ha) wait on the 4S!

Don't be. I am in Oregon with the EXACT some order status. All this means is that the system hasn't updated but the item IS flying right now. When it lands, that bitch is going to literally zoom to us here on the west coast. I order a lot of goods over the internet. This is always the case with overnight deliveries via Fedex.
 
How many people ordered a 64 GB in-store?

I ordered mine 10/7 at 9:20 AM, and i'm still backordered.
Genuinely worried that I wont get it. I already sold my phone.

Not to mention, the charge is removed from my statement. :(

I really hope they didn't slip all the in-store orders under the rug. That's not even fair. :mad:

I pray for a surprise on my doorstep tomorrow.

i don't think it's a credit fraud issue; it automatically happens with online orders, they just hold the amount and clear it when it is ready for shipment.

i'm just wondering why premier website says order date 10/7, and regular att site says 10/10, though i ordered 10/7 at 3:05am
 
Also in LA. I was told a few days ago that my phone (white, 32gb) was charged to my card. Ordered ATT by phone the first morning.

Got one email and that's it. No tracking info. Fed Ex says no package for me. I can only hope it's coming by UPS.

I miss ordering from Apple... and I have no idea what the return policy is with ATT.

Same. Gong to try Att store a block away,tomorrow.

I was told there is an 'exception' with my order but unsure what.
