AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Same here!! At&t's website had no sign of my order, customer service couldn't give me any details, besides that I couldn't cancel. Woke up to check email at 4:00 this morning and saw that I got an email with tracking number for a 10:30am delivery from FedEx today!!
I didn't see this coming. AT&T you don't suck anymore!

Same exact thing as me. On my premier page the preorder check is still checked but it says "last updated: October 13th" so I'm hoping for a miracle.
Yeee haaaa! You were right! It missed a few scans. Those steps are still missing, but now it says out for delivery!!
Ahhh, my package says it is out for delivery. I don't know what to do? There is no charge, I have two emails acknowledging my receipt. But, Santa hasn't emailed me to tell me I am getting the phone. What do I do?
What is UPS? Who are these people? Are they trustworthy? Will the phone come with a battery? Is it really cordless? Will I get a T&C email?
I'm so confused. Will I be happy? I've only owned 4 other iPhones. Can I just drive around and try and shout to my own personal Siri? Will she answer?

Has anyone who ordered a 64gb white 4s after 5:03est on 10/7 received tracking info on their phone yet? Here we are at 7am and still no tracking. As of last night nobody at incompetent AT&T could tell me if they have this phone, if it shipped, or when it will ship if it didn't. All they would say is they are filling the orders on a first come first serve basis. How much do u want to bet that AT&T stores have at least some stock of these phones today which makes what they say a total pile of crap.

and my order continues to say "pending shipment", what is the point of pre-ordering if I could potentially be standing in line for ATT launch day in order to recieve an iphone4s today anyways!

Forgetting that I was told FedEx would deliver when I ordered over the phone and that UPS Next Day Air Saver would deliver by 4:30 pm, I just received a text that my shiny black 4S will be delivered by 11:30 am ET. UPS' site confirms this, too.

A long, long time ago I used to work at a FedEx hub and we would stress having as close to a 100% scan rate because of situations like yours. Imagine if only 10% of scans was achieved. Still backordered. Yet, still hanging on to the hope that it will come despite what my at&t order status says online.
The thing is im now going to work because i dont have any "info" to track with, so im going to be worrying all day about a phone that may never come..

Exactly. The incompetence with which AT&T has handled these preorders is unacceptable in 2011. Yesterday, when the phones were supposed to ship noone at AT&T could tell me if my phone shipped, if they had phones for me, when they would be arriving if they didn't, etc. And I preordered the first time the site would let the order go through, about 5am EST on 10/7.
Out for delivery! Still showing by end of day, even though it's Next Day Air (not saver). Hopefully still on the NDA truck, though, and hoping for pre-noon delivery! (Though I'll certainly survive if it doesn't get here until 6:30 (when UPS normally gets here).
Yes, I have ordered 64GB White and I still cannot query my order status online or by phone but I got shipment email and can track it on Fedex. Details below, latest info first.
shipment notice 0135 this morning, it's coming by fedex today, FedEx trking sez it's in Syracuse which sounds right for today delivery
T and C confirmation email was sent by AT&T early Saturday morning, around 1245 although i didn't see it until 0830
I confirmed T&C request Friday evening around 1845
I got the order confirmation and T&C request email on Friday evening around 1820
I placed the order by phone with AT&T rep Friday morning 1015
I have never been able to see my order status online, nor successfully query it on the phone. I could see bits and pieces of data in my account information online that suggested the order existed and had been accepted, but nothing about the status of the order itself. That is still true even though my phone is on the FedEx truck as I write this note. Cannot see order but phone is enroute. Bizarre!
When I spoke a rep a few days ago she confirmed that she could see the order and that "I might" receive the phone "on Friday or Saturday" but otherwise it would be 14-21 days.
That's all I know. Hope everyone receives their phone soon
Thanks for the internet lesson, but be amazed no more, as I DO understand how credit cards work. At my age, I've been around the block more then once. It was held, released, charged, and "AT&T Refund" now appears next to the total on my statement.
