Different lingo, but at the end of the day they still knowingly put us at the back of the line and they didn't tell us the truth. They should have told us to go home and order online if we wanted it quickly ( why else would we be there?) but they wanted to maximize sales so they kept us in the dark.

I took a day off of work just to get this MF'ing phone. I should get reimbersed by CRAPPLE. Thanks for wasting my time & money.

I will continue buying products that Mr. Gates produces. He has yet to **** me like CRAPPLE.

Question... DO AT&T require a signature from UPS? Or will they just leave package at house?

That's nonsense, you accepted the T&C as part of the online ordering process. T&C was for people who didn't order online (in store and/or over the phone orders, I think). I ordered via Premier site, never received such a T&C email and my phone is out for delivery as I write this.

Same here I ordered from the Premier online page and did not receive a email for the T&C. I believe the T&C email is for folks ordering over the phone.
I would just be patient my email that I received last Friday said that it would be 14 to 21 days. But after calling this morning the CSR said it was being shipped out today. From Where who knows? The CSR could not say where she was located for security reasons. But I guess Hong Kong.

I 1000000% agree with you that any store manager that doesn't fulfill a store preorder with received stock deserves to be punished in any and all ways that can be conceived by a meeting of the minds of the phoneless left in backorder limbo. But AT&T didn't decide this, store managers obviously took it upon themselves to do so because a lot of store orders are being fulfilled.

If your store manager has done this, once this all blows over, call AT&T and report them. Maybe AT&T does something about it, maybe they don't. Then you can decide how crappy AT&T may or may not be. I listen to people RAVE about Verizon all over - I loved Verizon when I lived in Texas. Now I'm in Michigan and you can't make a call without it dropping for more than 5 minutes with Verizon. I have exceptional service with AT&T so I'll stick with them.

My package got on the FedEx delivery truck at 6:50 A.M. It's not 9:30 A.M, it sure is taking awhile.

I was gone from the house at like 8:00 for 20 minutes.

I really hope I didn't miss it, they would've left a note right?

Yes, and ask them about the policies in place and if we are on a different cue than the other pre-orders and then ask the manger to give you a phone since they obviously weren't up front about their policies!

please remember they have a lot of other deliveries to make :)

usually, fedex and ups come around a certain time in peoples area, if you know that time, you can expect your phone around then. for me, its around noon.
 
Although I have not received a tracking number yet, I can't complain. My upgrade was not until 11/25, so any earlier is a bonus. Plus they paid this month's bill for me $151. I just wish their order status page would tell me SOMETHING! I still get the red letter error saying that there's no order.

There's a hold on my CC. And the website says I'm not eligible for upgrade due to a pending order.

I ordered on Saturday by phone with AT&T since it tool that long to beg my way into an early upgrade. I had heard that last year some people received their phones without ever having tracking info. Has that happened to anyone yet?

Ordered a 16GB black and 64GB white at 5:03AM EST on 10/7. The 16gb got tracking two days ago but the white still said in process. Last night I got three different stories from three different AT&T reps - the net was they had no idea if I was getting that phone today and couldn't tell me until 8AM this morning when the phones showed in their inventory system. I called this morning and the 64GB white was not shipped and was on backorder with no estimated ship date. I put the AT&T manager I was yelling at on hold and called my local Apple store at 8:10. They have the phones in stock. Called AT&Trash again from the line at the Apple store and canceled my order and purchased it from Apple. The 16GB is out for delivery.

I can say with 100% certainty that AT&T is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. I will never purchase another iPhone through them, I'd rather take my chances camping out at the Apple store.

I suggest if your phone does not show tracking you call them and and ask for a manager and press them to find out for certain if you are on backorder so you can maybe still get one at Apple or a retail store.

Really hating seeing all these "DELIVERED" posts. Just keep rubbing it in our faces! Ordered 10:30am 10/7 and STILL have "In Progress" "Pending Shipment" 1 Backordered. Heres to being royally screwed over by AT&T! And having their own customers brag about their deliveries!
 
Delivered 10:10 am - white 16GB - tried to activate... wouldn't go through. ATT said they would send an email when it is activated!
