Now for those of us who order in store or online or whatever ONTIME and still haven't get any info yet from at&t, looks like we are screw.... i cannot believe NOTHING has change since friday~ WHAT IS THE POINT OF PRE-ORDERING WHEN THEY JUST DO RANDOM DRAW AND DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STOCK EVEN FOR PEOPLE WHO ORDER ON THE DAY ONE 10/7 ????????????????

It's called "pre-order thread". It's not called "the no phone thread". I totally feel for you folks in that boat and I would be EXTREMELY PO'd if I were in your shoes. However, those of us who "pre-ordered" and participated in this thread since 10/7 have every right to continue to post here. Plus, our tracking nightmares might prove useful to you once yours do ship.
 
Mine is out for delivery as of 6:42 this morning (although that just updated a few minutes ago online). Luckily my girlfriend is off work today so she can sign for it if it comes to the door, though it'll probably go to my apartment office. Either way I'll have it when I get home from work!
 
Just called Fedex and placed a hold in a local store
which means I can talk to SIRI as soon as 9AM:D
(the Estimated delivery time would be 3PM)

So if you haven't seen the status "out for delivery" and you do want to get your phone, call them!
 
Doubtful. His package has had three more scans since mine stopped. How could mine miss all three of those?

Anyone know how to get a live person at UPS??? Automated system claims my package is still on time for delivery while clearly it isn't.

Because there's probably 100+ going to your distribution facility. They scan one box in the crate of iphones going there. It just happens to be your husband's.
 
Placed my order 1:45pm EST on AT&T's website on Oct 7th.

Got a confirmation email at 1:48pm EST that my phone is scheduled to be delivered on the 14th. With an order number and a order status page. Order status updated to the 'pre-order' stage on the 9th.

Visahold held on my CC on the 9th. Checked my AT&T account and it says my order is pending shipping.

Checked my AT&T order on the 13th, says status is backordered, same with the order_status website.

Oct 14th visahold on my account expires money back in my account, and still no status on my order other than backorder...

This is HORRIBLE, I am seriously considering walking into the AT&T store asking to cancel my pre-order and get a Galaxy S2. They've done this now for several years they have to know what to expect... and this year the iPhone was late they had that much longer to prep for the onslaught...

Good luck with the S2, that will show AT&T.........
 
So next day air guys, they may be sticking to their before noon commitment.

My UPS guy always comes around 5 for ground deliveries.

Called the store (I chose to send the phone to the store as it's really close to my work) and they said they will be receiving a big batch of preordered phones this afternoon. Employee who originally took my preorder said she has personally witnessed people that said backordered online and their phone arrived at the store in past launches.

Hope springs eternal I guess...

You two are both in-store orders, correct? I think we're screwed for a week or more. If anyone with in-store Oct. 7th pre-orders speaks with CSR's on the phone or in-store manager's or employees, ask them to confirm that we are not in the same cue as the other pre-orders, and ask them if they had the discretion of using their in-store allotment to fill us rather than sell more phones to on line/walk-ins today. i bet you don't get a straight yes or no answer. I haven't.
 
Pre-orderd the 7th after trying for 2 hours.I gave up on the Apple website.I'm in the KC Kansas area and its out for delivery.

Got shipment notify the 12th and got something days before that that it had been shipped.When I log into my at&t acct it says it was shipped off the 10th though!?!?!Don't understand that part.

I've upgraded every time a new one comes out since the very 1st iPhone came out!

Me 2, I have in-store orders. No change. Calling AT&T now and see what they say.

Ok, I originally pre-ordered from AT&T store and was told I would get it today. He told me all in-store orders were actually processed AFTER midnight of that Friday. So, iPhone was never going to get here on time. So, I walked into AT&T store this morning and bought 2 full-price. He couldn't cancel my orders. There was no line and he said they have tons of them.
