I literally LOL'ed. That's not right man, AT&T should be sending these out on a first come basis. So does this mean my phones are allocated for?
It means that you can actually say that there are phones with your name on them, waiting to be sent out. Congrats. Wish I was in the same situation.
UNFORTUNATELY I made the mistake of pre-ordering my iPhone 4s on the first day (10/07) at my local AT&T store. Today (10/17) I went by the store to check and they told me it would be another 20 days before my phone arrives!! They also said they currently have the iPhone 4s in stock, but I cant get one because I pre-ordered one. I said lets cancel the pre-order and Ill get one of the ones they have in stock. They said they have to wait until my phone arrives before they can cancel the order.
So apparently at the AT&T store, pre-ordering bumps you to the end of the line!!!!!

I preordered my 16bg iphone 4s on the att premier website on Oct 7th at approx 3:30pm MDT. The order confirmation email told me it would be delivered in 7-14 days. I received an email shipping confirmation today saying it shipped, and the fedex tracking indicates a delivery for tomorrow.
I went in store to AT&T on 10/8/2011 and ordered the phone
I called AT&T today and I got a very friendly (finally) cs rep and he told me that they were no longer canceling pre-orders because the new shipment would be sent out this week. Also, he said that tonight at midnight the wireless order status page would be updated to reflect that iPhone4s would be shipped this week.
Mine has been on back order since the 8th I told him and he said that AT&T isn't updating the page too often. He reiterated the fact that tonight that should change at midnight.
SO I will be camping out waiting at midnight to see if this is true

Premier order Update recieved today.
Well, I was going to give ATT CSR a ring today and they must have read my mind as I had pre-ordered via the Premier website on Oct. 7th at around 4:30 pm Ak time. Well I got a email that evening saying it would be 14 - 21 days til it would ship. Well, today and hour ago I recieved a email confirming my address and said it would be shipped within the 14 -21 days window. At least they have not forgot about me. I just checked the order status website and nothing has changed since the 9th. Go figure. I just Thankful that I didn 't cancel my current cell services.

Sorry man. The phones are coming from Texas, so maybe AT&T got a huge order in from Apple and are going to sort everything out. I doubt you'll be out of a phone by Friday, the latest. Plus, let's see what actually IS shipped to me tomorrow.

I had just gotten to the place where I was OK to wait and now everyone seems to be getting shipping info while I can't even check my order status AT ALL. Annoying.

Yes. I ordered mine at 10:30 a.m. on 10/7 in store. Received it on Friday, 10/14 at 10:48 a.m.

B.S. again. Absolutely no problems ordering my iPhone 4S via AT&T. My local AT&T store is absolutely terrific.
Perhaps you should go back and read the first 115 or so. There are PLENTY of people in this thread that have received their phones.
Obviously not all since people are STILL replying to this thread. I personally will not pre-order from AT&T again. I waited in line last year for launch day and the phone was mine in less than 2 hours. Compared to this 'pre-order' fiasco, it was MUCH better.

When I went to my store, they didn't let on that they were able to do that until after they were sold out of the phone I wanted (32GB White). They have no idea when they will get their next order.
Look closer and you will notice that not only did I not say all but I specifically said to look at the first half of the pages in the thread. Of course almost everyone posting at this point didn't get their phone yet or they would likely not be posting.
