Didn't spell check or review it again
Of course this was planned. You think it wasn't because you can' see your status online. Thats just ATT's dumb corporate structure. I've been to the huge ATT facility in San Ramon, CA a few times. Everyone who works there has random letters and codes assigned to them as their email, not initials. No one knows the person sitting in the cube next to them. There is no sense of camaraderie in that company. When I used to work for a smaller software company in Palo Alto, I knew every single person's name in the entire company. And everyone knew mine, as well as everyone elses.
A company like ATT who functions like this, is certain to have the same type of structure with their servers. Which they do. I've seen some of the structure and its not organized at all for the National level.
You placed your order somewhere in the country, but the server that is supposed to tell you your status, is somewhere else and the date perhaps never got to it.
Another funny thing, I ordered a Satechi CR -3600 for my iPhone which hasn't even arrived yet at 1am this morning, October 18 Pacific time. I get free 2 day shipping because Amazon is free. The product is in Arizona, same time zone. 3 HOURS later from my order, the product is shipped and will be delivered a day early. They did this because they have stock available. Hmm... ATT has Iphone 4s stock available.
Its the honor and the integrity of the company thats the problem, it is a private entity yes, controlled by a few men. They are the ones who we should be angry at. They can change the entire thing if they wanted to, give us phones, make call centers correspond geographically to calls, give us all a phone, and extra phone at that for our troubles, change the corporate structure and hardware/software infrastructure. Whole thing can be accomplished in less than 6 months and ATT would be sure to be around for the next 1000 years. As I mentioned before, they will probably still be around for that long... because we need them.
Check out the attachment for proof.
Frankly is right in a sense. Good that you got your phone. I'm happy for you, still waiting on mine. I don't really care what ATT did anymore, as no one here should anymore. Its done, it happened, they screwed up. They did deliver many phones on time. Good. What about the ones that they didn't? Why are they not correcting this situation. They are just waiting on new stock like a bunch of *******s.
I CARE that a huge corporation who last year (2010) made around $54 MILLION DOLLARS NET PROFIT PER DAY every day for the year isn't correcting this problem that THEY caused.
They have stock in their retail stores.... If your local store doesn't have one, have them ship you one from a store nearby or out of state that does have one. We thought we are their loyal customers, obviously they don't care about us. ATT say's we want to have stock in stores for people who want to buy a phone. HOLY ****, let them WAIT. We preordered for a damn reason. LET NEW CUSTOMERS WAIT 2 weeks for their phone, THEY WILL CERTAINLY AND DEFINITELY UNDERSTAND AND BE OK WITH IT.
"Oh it was sold out, must be a popular phone, will come back in 2 weeks" - Is what a new customer would say... They expect the phone to be sold out
"I preordered mine on the day they started taking preorders and still dont have mine, but my neighbor who is switching from Tmobile got his today in 1 hour, but they won't let me do that"
As Frankly said, yes they delivered many phones on time, but they are not correcting the mess that they have made. The only reason I'm stuck to ATT is my Unlimited Data plan. Now someone might say, oh, so then ATT is a good company because they let you keep that. Again, BS, everyone could have unlimited data, they are just greedy. So what if the corporation made 53 or 52 million net profit per day for the year. Everyone gets paid in the end.
They just don't give a **** about us.
Another long one, I don't know which is longer haha
