I think my favorite part of this is the "your estimated shipment date is as indicated." There is not, and never has been, an estimated shipment date. I've gotten the 21-28 days story most frequently from the phone reps, but other things as well - for variety's sake, I expect.
There has been some movement - the initial order, placed at 4:10a Eastern on the 7th and subsequently replaced by the phone reps on the 8th, has dropped off entirely. It just sat in processing for a week and a half, so I didn't expect anything useful from it, but I find I sort of miss it, now that it's gone, leaving only it's cranky, back-ordered brother.
The "we're not charging your card until it ships" line seems bogus though - the charge went through sometime last week, in a somewhat timely fashion were the phone actually going to turn up for release day.
