AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Apple allowed you to walk in without reserving online?
Which Apple did you go to?
I thought that Apple would only sell you phones if you reserved the phone online at 9pm the night before..
Which is why i haven't tried going to the store, I don't want to be turned away :( Should I go first thing bright and early in the morning? Is that how it works?
Advice please, people! I am planning to get one at the Apple store, and deal with cancelling the online ATT preorder later... :mad:
 
So I was finally able to cancel on Monday at which point I was told my upgrade would BE reversed within 24 hours. So I called today to check my upgrade and they told me my order had a tracking number. I still can't see it opine but she verbally gave it to me and I called FedEx only to be told that number was invalid and I had no orders headed to my address.

Here we go again.

Just call before you head in to be sure, I did that Monday and picked one up for the wife.

24 hours? I was able to call in to cancel and had upgrade reversed in 10 mins while driving to the Apple store.
 
So I ordered in store at about 11 AM on 10/7 and I was given a 14-21 day order fulfillment time. I just checked my order status and it went off (just now cause I checked throughout the day) backorder. It now shows a zero in the backorder column.

Just check mine again nothing. From what am seeing if u ordered in the store ur sol. If u want the black 32gb ur sol. If ur on AT&T ur sol.

On a side note I ordered that dock last night and just got an email stating a cancel order. Thanks for trying in the free dock.

Did they charge your card before they cancelled the dock order? They charged me, but no cancellation so far.

I ordered in store and not on backorder anymore.

ordered white 16gb on 10/8 at 10 am in store and still on backorder....

How the hell are you guys getting cancels do easy. I finally got a request put in and they are still telling me it takes 48 hours to get it done. This is after I called and told them how quick you guys did it.
 
I ordered a 16gb white 4s in store 10/7 around 4pm Pacific and no changes on my order status either everything still listed as in progress and 1 in the backordered column.

I hope we all get our phones soon :)
 
hey guys, so i ordered a 4S from apple.com, it should get here at the end of the month, my question is, i bought the 4s with an upgrade that i got from my other line in my family plan, so what is the best way to do this so there will be no issue with swapping the simcards.

when i get the 4s, do i swap the simcards right away before even turning on the iphone 4s? or do i turn on the iphone 4s, let it activate i guess? and then swap simcards?
 
I made the mistake of calling 611 to check my status again. They are telling me its 'in progress.' Yet, it does not show backordered, pending, or shipped. It says nothing! I can't check my order on the website at all since 10/8 when ordered.

I am DEEPLY offended that they refuse to cancel these FAKE pre-orders for those of you who want to go to a store. For a few days, they were allowing this, but now that they know that their stores are out of stock, they know we'd be getting the phone somewhere else, so they won't do it anymore!

I emailed Tim Cook from Apple and the editor of Boy Genius website to let them know of AT&T's tactics. We'll see if anyone cares...

Sorry AT&T. NO MORE PRE-ORDERS FROM ME!
 
FINALLY!!!!!!!!

Got my tracking number!!! Went from off backorder just a couple hours ago to being shipped out and says est delivery tomorrow by 3pm!!!!
 
Talked to a CSR today. My order is still untrackable on the website. Basically I was calling to complain about how the $18 upgrade fee had appeared in my account but that it's ridiculous I get charged for a phone I still don't have. Anyway, long story short, the guy fed me some story about how the warehouses have been receiving shipments this week, and that on Friday my order status should be changed as I should be one of the first shipments sent out with the new stock (I ordered a 16gb white on 10/8 at 10 am over the phone). My estimated time has been given as between 10/24 and 10/30. Oh, and he told me something about how I should have been told at the time of ordering that I should expect a 14-21 day wait, and I know for sure I was not told that.
