AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Finally!!!!!

Hey guys i scrambled to make an account so I can give out some hope. I've been in the same boat as all of you this past week, in store order that was backordered till AT&T sees fit to ship it. Well this morning i checked my status for the umpteenth time and it switched from back ordered to ordered, I didn;t get my hopes as that could mean anything. However I just checked and now i have an overnight shipment with FEDEX tracking. So hang in their guys they are starting to ship apparently!!! Good Luck!!!!:)

This is weird, it seems that everyone who's order starts with an X is still back ordered..

you can post whatever information you want this is an open forum. I've been reading this thread since 10/8 and there was much worst info posted that disappointed people.

After this roller coaster ride with AT&T I'm up for any good news. Thats more than AT&T gives us.
 
Figured I would chime in here.

Order played at 10AM Eastern at AT&T Store for 16gb white and 16gb black. Both went off of backorder earlier today and the black has just shipped. Probably safe to assume the white will follow. Store orders are shipping, but appears to be very few judging by the order numbers higher than mine. All before me had already shipped on the 14th.

Do you think posting something from the at&t CSR about complaining and nonsense would benefit the community more than giving them a news that STORE ORDERS ARE NOW SHIPPING OUT?!?!?

Check your status tomorrow and Friday if you ordered on the 7th in store and you will see what i mean.
you should be happy and not looking into negative side! Dont' be so negative, i have my hopes up and like a little kid cannot sleep well, and staying with you guys here makes me feel better, and don't you ever try to say that im doing bad for this community. I could careless staying away or post ANY POSSIBLE news to this community!!

Sorry if im being a little emotional but i happens to have the store's order number in my hand... and i've checked them all...
and yes, they are all store orders and yes, some of them have tracking and some of them have backorder 0.

Yes, i could be wrong, yes, yes yes...
But according to watching all these order numbers for the past week, im pretty sure i got it... fingers crossed.

YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT, THERE ARE MANY OF STORE ORDER (AT LEAST IN THE STORE I ORDERED FROM) HAS SHIPPED OUT. just wait... wait...
only for those who ordered on the 7th in store.... trust me, you guys will be happy tomorrow and friday. if not the phone at least shipping info.
 
This is good news! Hopefully we will see many updates in the next couple of days. BTW my order starts with XS as well. :) I ordered on the 10th so maybe I will see some changes before next week. Everyone, keep those updates coming in!

Finally people are starting to get update. I'm getting support over my last post! Hang on guys. STORE ORDERS ARE SHIPPING NOW!!! ( If not today tomorrow or friday again if you ordered on the 7th in store)

ok , i dont' know if i should disclose this, but here's the first 100 order in the store and here's the number. Track it, just shipped today. From here NYC: X7801CWC34KBF
 
YoManStation, you are giving people hope. Whether you're right or wrong, you're giving me something to look forward to for the next few days. Instead of sitting here grumbling to myself about what my phone is up to, I have hope of it changing and will be waiting!

I ment the first few digits bud. Sorry I didn't explain that better mine is xfs and still backed ordered. I might just wait for Santa Claus or the Easter bunny

Other data point--store was adamant on Saturday the 15th that my order could not be cancelled. Even the AT&T employee who sold me my preorder was backordered and couldn't cancel. So maybe he (and others with X... numbers) had their orders placed by some Byzantine (stupid) internal AT&T mechanism that screwed things up even more than those who got "digit" order numbers? Dunno.

Gadzooks does it suck typing on this slow 3G. Cannot wait for a better phone.
 
YoMan I totally believe you now. Congrats on getting your phone tomorrow. I put it into AT&T and you are right. Ordered on 7th, fedex tracking shipped today.
 
AT&T has had this late shipment problem since 3GS days.

File a complaint to BBB, FCC, and your state's Attorney General like I did. Let AT&T know who pays for their salaries.

I preordered in store on 10/7 at 11 AM (EST) for 2 black 32 GB phones. I was told I would be waiting 14-21 days for shipping. Today around 6 PM they went off backorder and now there are tracking numbers. I should be getting them before 3 PM tomorrow. I guess I should be happy that I am getting my preordered phones a day early :rolleyes:
 
store orders are shipping

i've been silently following the forum but i wanted to register and post that iphone 4s blk 32gb have been slowly taken off backorder and are heading to be shipped. one in particular has gotten a tracking number in about an hour of time in which it has been backordered and set for delivery tomorrow. i've been inserting order numbers ahead of my own on the att site for the same zipcode, and noticed that the orders that had 32gb black but not any of the 16gb ones were no longer backordered. be hopeful! i'm sure that as soon as att has supplies they'll be sending them out! i ordered in store on oct 7th around 2PM and still have my 16gb white 4s backordered. i can understand the frustration, hang in there!
 
I have been following this thread since the 7th and thought I would give an update on my order that starts with XD and placedin the store on the 7th at 1:00 pm cst ... I ordered a white 16 gb and the status is still showing backordered BUT when I go to UPS and plug my info (phone # and zip) into the search for reference under the mail innovations there is a package coming to my zip code with my phone# which wasn't there yesterday ... I live in a rual county of Texas ...what are the odds???

I really think my phone headed this way! I'll keep ya up dated!
 
Mine was ordered in store 10/7 at 10am. Shipping via FED EX overnighted. Couldn't be more pumped. For everyone else out there who is waiting it won't be long for you, you should be getting atleast some shipping info very soon!

Mine is shipped!

Ordered 10:30 AM EST in-store, was told I had missed the Oct. 14 cutoff, and that it would be 14-21 days, although told it would probably be closer to 14 than to 21.

Shipping status changed this afternoon from Backordered to Processing, then I got the email at 8:42 EST tonight that it had shipped. It's being shipped FedEx overnight from Fort Worth, Texas (to Tennessee) and will arrive on Thursday. So, if all goes well I'll get it tomorrow - that will be 13 days from the order date.

Mine is a Black 32gb and my order number starts with X1365....

Even i posted all these good news. Mine is still backordered = 1 nothing has changed yet. But as i mentioned, only a few order before me has already got shipping info. Im expecting my tracking tomorrow and not tonight. Again my order is around 4pm so it will be little later than everyone of you.

Oh, btw, by checking at the numbers that are rolling.... the 16GB seems to be the slowest.
I ordered 16GB white. I saw few 16GB still backordered. But many 32GB and 64GB has either shipped and/or backordered status 0 already. Hang on guys... hang on~

i pre-ordered a 16 but recently changed my mind and want a 32 now. so even when I get my 16 i have to wait until my store gets them back in stock so i can exchange it with a 32. does anybody know if i can exchange it at a different at&t store than the one i pre-ordered in case a different store gets them in stock first?
