Have a good friend that i pre-ordered my phones from and just asked him if they had any in stock or expected any. they do not have any in stock and are not expecting any shipments for "awhile". Hopefully this means they are catching up on pre-orders!!! fingers crossed!!!:D:D

Yeah, that doesn't mean they are doing anything with preorders. Their main priority is to get phones in stores for people to buy. Grab a beer, or a keg, and wait.

It could also mean that supply will be getting more constrained "Apple is set to debut the new device in 22 more countries next Friday, October 28th. Apple's online stores in many of those new countries began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 4S today, giving customers in the new markets the chance to join the queue for delivery. The new launch countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland."
 
Store pre-orders are moving fairly well Wed and starting to slow down yesterday and as of today at noon, there are no changes so far from the store i ordered from. 16GB somehow moving slow, but it's moving...... Guys any more updates to STORE PRE-ORDERS??

Yes, just got off the phone with ATT Enterprise support. I was talking to a black guy who was talking so fast. Asked where my 4s was, he put me on hold for 5 minutes I ***** you not and then he said, there is a phone number you can call for assistance, the automated line......

And thats it

Just got off the phone with a CSR who told me that my order was still back ordered and that the estimate ship date is 21-28 days FROM FREAKING TODAY. she then proceeded to, get this, OFFER TO CANCEL MY ORDER. And I said "Have I been able to do this the whole time?" and she goes "Yes." and I proceede to blow up on her about how I could have had a phone a week ago and all the lies aTT has been telling me for the past week. I flat out sked for some kid of credit or compensation but nada. Anyway, I told her that yes I would like to cancel my order and she said she would get confirmation and call me later. That was like an hour ago. She said usually it is pretty quick but it might also be this evening. This could all just be ******** again but whatever it is something different. I am going into Boston today, does anyone know the iPhone situation there?

That truly sucks. You have my sympathies and I hope that they are able to cancel in time for you to reserve one at your local Apple store tomorrow.
 
i have the answer to your preorder nightmare

I am stuck waiting for my 32gb white 4s, and I ordered on the 7th at 9:00am. I have been contacting ATT for 14 days and have spent hours dealing with this. I contacted the BBB a few days ago and now that they are on ATT's case, they are calling me and doing everything they can top help me. They will even let me cancel my order now and I can get it elsewhere. I got the persons direct # and email so I don't have to wait for hours to talk to someone. They even are calling att and apple stores in my area to locate a phone for me. VERY REFERESHING!


Bottom line: file a complaint with the Better Business Buruea and once they feel the heat, they will help you out.

Yeah, we pre-ordered 10/7 in store and website today says the black 16GB phone shipped yesterday via fed ex. (Yesterday the backordered status finally dropped) But no sign of fed ex yet
however...white 16GB still says backordered
 
Frankly- do you work for Sprint or ever had their service (LOL) and you do realize this is a AT&T thread ?

Is something wrong with you? I was replying to a post that stated as fact that they had to stick with AT&T because their only option was AT&T or Verizon if they wanted an iPhone 4S.

  1. That is factually inaccurate.
  2. I have had Sprint service in the past and was very happy with it. In fact, the only reason I switched back to AT&T in 2008 was because I wanted an iPhone.
  3. Judging cell phone service nationwide based on how it is where you live is about the most ridiculous thing you can do in this situation.
  4. I've been accused of working for AT&T earlier and now you're accusing me of working for Sprint. Are you that ignorant that I can't even post an informational link disputing what someone says without having to work for them? Also, if you had applied even the smallest bit of logic you might have asked yourself if you really thought I might work for Sprint why would I also post the c spire link? Answer: because you're ridiculous.
 
quite frankly I'm a little upset on how everyone is ganging up on him, he's entitled to his own opinions as are we, he can defend anything he wants whats it to us?
 
My preorder showed up this morning via FedEx. Since I had already bought he phones at the store last week, I took these to the store and they credited my credit card. Easy as pie. They told me they were all sold out and didn't know when they'd be receiving more. Now they have two. :D
 
Iphone delivery

is it possible for the phone to be delivered with out having the system updated or is the system accurate enough where they are updating it in a timely fashion?
 
At least when I log in to OLAM and click on My Orders I can see my order status now. Of course it's back ordered, but it beats having to use my # and other info to check order status now.

FYI if you ordered via the website only then call 1-866-391-0749 to cancel your order as they're allowing cancellations now as posted on the AT&T boards by people who've cancelled. No sense in cancelling for me can't find a store with stock. Hopefully the cancellations will move me up the ladder slowly, but surely.

Talked to the store manager and he says the same thing. His store has only received one shipment of phones on Oct 6. He was told that the preorders were going to be filled first, then they would start receiving phones again.

My situation sucks because we are canceling a family plan on T-Mobile and moving to an AT&T family plan. My phone will be here on Monday, my wife's.....still on backorder. So now I get to stare at the box until the second phone ships out. Oh how fun that will be!

Either Apple is screwing ATT over with shipments or ATT really dropped the ball. I'm believing the latter.

I was debating on just canceling and going to the Apple Store, but since I don't qualify for an upgrade yet I'd have to pay an extra $250.

I had thought about accepting the $200 trade in for my iPhone 4. If I wait for the pre-order, I pay $299, sell the iPhone 4(with accessories), and the phone will basically be free. Most importantly, I can have it NOW.:D
