AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

One 16gb Black Iphone 4s delivered right at 4:30pm!!!

I would like to know your order date/time and whether you placed your order through the store or online too.....

I'm obviously frustrated that I have yet to get mine....

Is there anyone who was unable to track their order online at all and yet received their phone? I can't track mine at all, so I need to know if I should bother trying to track it that way any more? I ordered by phone on Saturday (last week).

If you ordered via AT&T last Saturday, I say expect it late next week AT THE EARLIEST. (I ordered mine the same day)

Can't help you with the speed, but a tip for the home button:
Plug your sync cable in. Carefully push the cable upward. It will move the connector and that may help. Be careful though.

Good luck. My local Apple store has unavailable in red letters for ALL carriers and versions.

Same here. I tried stores all over the country and all are red unavailable. Now I tried logging in and it said system unavailable becauase of high traffic volume. It does say 9pm so I'm hoping thats when the red switches over and we are allowed to make a reservation.

Not to throw gasoline on the fire, but tonight after worked I walked into one of the five local Apple stores here in the Twin Cities, got in line and 30 minutes later had a 64 gig white iPhone 4s. No reservation.

Preorder means getting it before the masses. Someone at AT&T should be fired, shot, fired again and then left out for the vultures.

ATT is a legal entity with the same rights as a person. There has to be something we can do to them. We can't beat them up in the traditional sense, but there has to be something.
I think filling a complaint with the BBB is a good first step.

I'm waiting for 9pm tonight so maybe I can reserve one at my local Apple Store tommorow. I wanted to ask someone here, will my plan change if I cancel my preorder? I want to keep my unlimited data I have with ATT and I don't want it changed at all. Is Apple good at intergating the att plans?

This says you can reserve a 4s and pick it up tomorrow.
eATT 611 closes at 10pm local time so tonight, at 9pm, I'm gonna log on, reserve a 4s close to me at an Apple Store, call up ATT, cancel the preorder, and go pick one up.

Hopefully this works.

I reserved a white iPhone 4S 64GB. Since I don't qualify for an upgrade outside of this fake pre-order, the price is $649-$200 (iPhone 4 trade in)=$449

Not sure if I will do this or not. I want it, but I don't need it. If I wait for the pre-order, $299 for a 32GB...IF it ever comes!

I had no luck checking availability at Apple stores (after 9p online) until tonight.Both stores in my area have a shiteload available,so I might pull the trigger.I am one of those 10/8 folks..............who ordered from AT&T online.

That goes for me 3 with it being day 14 today. I have 2 orders placed on Oct 7th at around 11am in Cali. Order number in the 80s and still "Pending Shipment" on both.

Called and tried to cancel, but since I ordered at the store, AT&T said I needed to cancel at the store.

Went the store, tried to see if they have any 4S's left (obviously not), and then wanted to cancel and just reserve through the Apple store. Then they said they aren't able to cancel either through their system. So I guess either I'm retarded, or I'm given contradictory information.

So tempted to just switch to Verizon when the 5's come out. But then there's that thing where you aren't able to use Safari when talking on the phone..... FML. I'm so sick of AT&T

Checked mine too....

EVERY single one is still on backorder.

I live within 30 minutes of Apple HQ and one of ATT's biggest offices on the West Coast.

how funny, i was having trouble in firefox so opened ie and it went through. albeit just now. mine was locking up from about 9-9:30 as well. must have a ridiculous amount of traffic.

aside from the...not deception per se, but misgivings perhaps - definitely errors in judgment, mistakes, etc. on at&t's part this was probably the easiest part. next time, which will probably be 6, i'll be sure to order through apple. at&t is a hassle.

I find this funny/amusing. I cancelled my pre-order over a week ago, and AT&T has yet to update my order status. It still says "In Process" and "Pending Shipment".. Obviously they don't place a high priority on it.

Can't track it by order number, by home phone number, nor by cell phone number. If I click on view orders, I get the 'wait 24 hours before checking' page. VERY annoying.

I just checked on status from my store... orders from 10/7 morning has shipped today. And today afternoon orders 10/7 are moving out of backorder status. I ordered on 4pm 10/7 and i can smell my tracking number tomorrow or Monday. Guys cheer me up man~ im so close

(oh, and also one person up there who has also ordered 10/7 afternoon, we will get it soon my friend)
