oh sorry forgot to mention that. I ordered online. It's also nice to see that most phones are coming from Ft. Worth TX. since I live in Arlington TX. haha so hopefully it wont take long now....
Edit: They just added the shipping carrier and a ship date of 10/25 to my status but no tracking number yet.
once again glad to see phones are shipping...and no one likes waiting but I can wait...but man does it hurt to see orders placed way after you shipping first. Especially orders after the in-store launch.
For you 10/07ers out there still waiting, I'm not sure how you do it. Ok back to checking my order status.

I ordered on the 18th Online through premier...it shows the 20th.. So you are giving me hope that I could possibly receive mine before the end of next week!

No I just kept checking. Funny story, I was skyping with my girlfriend and I kept refreshing the page. When I saw "0" I got a bit too excited and she just kept making fun of me. But yes again I just kept checking and I also called and CSR confirmed it was off backorder.

anyway, i need to calm down. My friend, tomorrow you will get tracking and by my EVERYDAY research... you should, i mean we should get our phone by sometime tuesday if they exclude sat, if not then it will be monday. They use 2 day mail NOT INCLUDING THE DAY YOU GET YOUR TRACKING INFO.
That means: Friday+Monday. So i would say by Monday, unless Steve Jobs is back from Heaven, otherwise i don't think the phone can make it this week.

I have to say, although we should get our phone very soon and im sure we (the store-preorder-backorderhell people), i think we should still have to do something to fire at&t because this is completely unacceptable. Forget about money credit, forget about getting the phone this week. Let's not forget how much stress they put to us. I'm a very patient person and will not easily get very mad at something but this time they got me fire their ass up, im trying ways possible to let them know at least from me. Anyway, cheers for the phone and let's not forget the past 3 weeks friends.

Hello everyone, I've been reading these posts since 10/12 which is when I "preordered" both my iphone 4s white 16Gs. My story is long, but I'll try to sum it up kinda quick.
I called sprint to see what deals they had for me if I switched over. They gave me some good deals. I called Att and told them I was talking to sprint and let them know what I was offered with sprint (with the retention or cancellations department) and told them I would stay with ATT if they could offer me something good. They offered me $10 off my text bill a month, 15% off for being an EMS employee, $50 credit for each iphone 4s I preordered (so total $100 for me), and free overnight shipping. I told them I wasn't sure and she said she could call me back the next day and I agreed. She never called me back. After this I called back the next day and ended up talking to different reps in the cancellations department and a huge mess was formed from what I was told. Long story short, I ended up ordering the phones with the cancellations department because I was given all of this: $10 off text for life, 15% bill for EMS employee, $100 in credit for iphone 4s's, free overnight shipping, waived $18 upgrade fee's for both phones, a $50 credit, and another $75 credit... a total of $225 in credit, with a discounted bill of about $22 a month, and more. I was promised I would receive the phone on 10/14. I went to Apple store on launch day to ask if I could cancel and just buy at store and was told to call ATT. I called cancellations again and explained what happened and was told I could cancel if I want and upgrade again right there in store but that the $100 credit would be lost. I decided to wait it out to keep my $100 credit. He then told me it would take max 10 days from that day to receive phones. I've been very frustrated with att and this whole situation. Checking my status every second was driving me crazy... FINALLY, yesterday 10/25 I got off backorder around 5am (NO EMAIL update), I then got my shipping tracking number today 10/26 at around 1PM. It's shipping from Texas and arriving here in Miami tomorrow via Fedex at 3pm (10/27). I know I lucked out and am happy about it, but it's still frustrating and I bet a million times more for the people that ordered 10/7.
I came out good though... almost $300 in credit and waited 15 days after ordering 10/12 to receive my phones... Either way, from now on, I will not preorder.

There is a God!!!!! My phone just went off of backorder, and AT&T gave me another months credit without me even asking. Just when I'd given up hope on them, they come through.
No.Mine took 19 hrs to show tracking info after going off BO.After tracking info showed on order screen,I received an e-mail with tracking info an hour later.

My 10/7 in-store 16GB WHT came off backorder at some point between 10pm and 6am this morning EST. My wife's is the order right after mine and due to some AT&T mishap I can't check her's online... I have been assured from an AT&T rep that they're shipping together, but I'm skeptical.
I hope the rest of you 10/7-ers had some good fortune overnight.

read on another forum where At&T said they are shipping on time with what was on the email they sent people..i called them yesterday on it and they said yea for the most part and that sunday doesnt count as a shipping day...i ordered mine on a saturday so we shall see..

Which is completely unfair. When I see someone post that their order which they placed DAYS after I placed mine has shipped... well, I think a lot of you can understand how I feel.
FWIW, I've not seen a "0 backordered" flip back to "1 backordered" as I've checked all these orders, they've always gone forward to "shipped", usually within a day or two.

Mine took about 48 hours to get tracking notice, although I have seen others with quicker times.. Mine is currently on Fed-ex vehicle for delivery...Finally...
