I pre-ordered in store on 10/30. One AT&T fellow said they were getting a shipment in around the 7th of November. Another AT&T fellow said they wouldn't have any in for another two or three weeks.

I order a black 16GB 4S on 10/28. After I ordered they took the money out of my bank account. Then yesterday I decided to check my bank account online to see how much was in there. There was $216 MORE than there was supposed to be. So I called AT&T and apparently my order got canceled. They said it was because I paid with a debit card and since it was on back-order the bank wouldn't let them hold the money that long. So they wanted me to pay for it with a credit card. I don't even have/want a credit card. So my husband and I will be driving a total of 7 hours tomorrow to two different Apple stores. BUT I'm still able to check my order status and it still says, "In progress." Also my upgrade eligibility has not yet been reinstated. So I guess I will be calling them again today. -_-

Not sure if that means much but I guess it is a change nonetheless.
Its starting to pick up in my area. 10/16's are starting to ship. Now down to 16 days for shipping.
Weird, they are shipping using UPS and not Fedex. Wow.

I suggest you wait for it,. Same thing happened to me, crs stated my order had been cancelled, but my status still showed in progress.
