Ordered my Blk 64GB 10/7 and reordered after cc snafu 10/12 thru Premier ... still waiting
Looks like 32GB must be less in demand. Longer lists for 16GB and I guess 64GB not made in as much quantity.
I am shocked that my order on 10/24 was shipped already. Was expecting it closer to Thanksgiving

It appears Apple is mass manufacturing the 16GB in both colors, black may be more than white, just slightly. The 32GB models seem to be 50-75% of the 16gb models produced, and 64 GB models seem to be 20-30% mass produced compared to the 16gb models.
Basically, if you bought a 32gb model in white, or 64gb white/black, you're screwed with the longest wait times.
Well back to the status check for me..
Original order 10/18: Shipped today. ATT canceled my shipment due to an error they made with checking my identity. They switched my ssn and name around and messed it up, so i am no longer getting it.
New Order 11/3: 2 white 16gig again.
Lets see how long it takes this time since I already waited 2.5 weeks
Almost changed to verizon today...since this was a new account.

I ordered a 64gb blk iPhone from AT&T premier today. Debit card was already charged. Hope to see the phone before xmas.
I ordered my phone 10/26. A white 16gb. Last night it went off back order and I just checked to see if there is tracking info. Said its coming USPS and when you click on the tracking # its said that package was delivered to someone in NY on 7/23/10. Anyone else have a similar issue? I thought it was shipping UPS or FedEx. It is a premiere account so I don't know what to think?
I've seen that before. I think USPS recycles their tracking numbers....probably tomorrow you will see updated tracking info.
That's somewhat nice to hear as i'm trying to find a 16GB black somewhere. Hopefully they will catch up with everything soon and i have no problems finding one.
Just got my shipping info ordered 32gb black on 11/1, shipping today via UPS 2 Day air. Should have it monday the 7th
Good for you but that is disappointing.
I ordered a 64GB Black on 10/15, and mine just went off backorder today but still have no shipping info. I guess I can only assume the 64GB are more backordered. It's hard to believe people are getting phones shipped within 2-3 days of ordering, and i've been waiting over 20 days. Damn you AT&T.

I ordered mine on 10/30 and on the 2nd of Oct charges on my card went from pending to cleared. I have received no tracking email of any kind. Also, when I try and call the number on the reciept to track, it says sorry we are unable to find any info on this number or something like that. I pre-ordered from an at&t store.
I ordered Black 16GB on 11/2 from ATT and it said 21-28 back order. I am on a family plan and another line is able to be upgraded so for the heck of it I added a black 16GB to the cart to see if it changed and that one says 14-21 days, and that is only a day later. So hopefully its a good sign that they are fulfilling more orders.
Walked into a Target store today and they happened to have one white 16GB AT&T iPhone 4S. I snapped it up for my wife. I'm still holding out for a black 32GB iPhone. The Mobile guy at the store doubted they would receive any 64GB phones. Target is pretty much first come first serve but they will call you if a shipment comes in. I'm tethered to Target with a Target retiree 10% discount coupled with a 5% Target Visa card discount. That's hard to beat for major purchases especially since Apple products are rarely discounted unless a discontinued model.
Target is full service. They'll set you up on your AT&T account and even transfer your data and contacts from your old phone (LG flip phone in this case) and sell you Applecare from Apple if you want it. I had visions of going in, grabbing the box, checking out and being on my own.
