AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

some hope!!
so I ordered over the phone at around 9 pm on 7th...was under "in progress" and "backordered" till last night...now its PROCESSING with nothing under backordered. I might get lucky!

Oh yea! Finally shipped! The ups trick worked for me this morning. Though mine is still in China.

Actually I am curious too. My status explicitly states that unless I am a UPS employee it will come from FedEx. I am surprised at the number of UPS shipments here from AT&T.
i just got my order confirmation email with a shipping order number as well.
it looks like ATT charged me 9.95 for shipping. did anyone else see this charge? hopefully itll automatically be taken off.
did anyone who ordered over the phone see such email?
i still cannot check the status online though.
glad to see things are moving along. i was freaking out because i thought my phone was coming from China, nice to see itll be from a warehouse in the USA. definitely makes sense why ATT orders havent shipped out yet

Now see, this is what I don't get. I ordered over the phone & the lady rep read me all the terms and conditions & I accepted all of them. I have not gotten an email about the T&C's.
So, did I already accept the T&C's when she read them off to me on the phone or should I be expecting another email?
My AT&T order status is no longer on backorder & says it is pending shipment.

you should get the email. i also accepted whatever she said over the phone, but i believe the email is different. you should definitely expect it today. i do recommend looking at your upgrade status "view detail" link i provided above.
id also call att when they open to find out the status. good luck
I think all those orders being shipped from China are mixed with Apple.com orders and AT&T orders. The difference is that the Apple.com orders already have people's name assigned to them and are being shipped straight to their door step. The AT&T orders are being shipped to a local distribution warehouse where they will be prepared for shipment and tracking numbers will be issued. This might be why we can't track our numbers on UPS/FedEx website.

I've also ordered around 10-10:30 AM (in Houston) at an AT&T store. We are a Premier customer, and our order is still showing the same as your sister's.
I wouldn't worry about it. As soon as they ship tomorrow or Thursday you will see a change in the status. It happens every year.

Facts:
- Ordered 2 white 16GB from ATT by phone on Friday at around 10:00 AM
- Good that I called because my family plan caused issues and I spent an hour working through issues
- Received the activation email on Friday and activated
- Received an email confirming my order and saying that I will receive tracking information when it ships
- When I go to the ATT Order status site I get the error message saying they have no idea what I am talking about
- Two calls into customer service tell me that it is processing and/or on back order but that everything looks good.
Questions:
Odds that I get my Iphones this week?
Odds that something is screwed up despite what they are saying and I will need to reorder?
True or false: People ordering over the phone from ATT (not through the premier folks) as a general rule are in the dark about the status of their order.

orders on saturday are expected to be shipped 14-21 days. i do not think youll receive your phone on the 14th.

1. you should get your phones friday, barring unforeseen issues.
2. you will not have to re order. i havent read anyone having to.
3. true, folks who ordered over the phone cannot check the status (from what ive read)
i ordered friday just like you, just got my terms email yesterday, and shipping order number email today. you are ahead of me as far as communications go. i think youll be fine
Assuming you ordered through AT&T your shipment will be delayed because it was placed after 4pm EST.

I placed my order on Friday 3:47 am CST. I received an immediate email confirmining my transaction. I received an email yesterday saying it has ben processed. Up until yesterday the transaction was pending in my bank. I logged onto my banks website today and there was no transaction at all. Anyone else have this happen to them? When I look at the "shipping stauts" is still says "In Process" and "Pending Shipping" Should I be concerned about this?

Two 64GB 4 S phones ordered from store.apple.com -- one white, one black. The white was ordered after the black one and yet it has shipped while the black one hasn't. I can only imagine the black one is coming from someplace "local" as opposed to China.
I'll take your bet. Especially since he ordered an iPhone 4, and not an iPhone 4S. At least, I hope he ordered an iPhone 4, because that's what's coming tomorrow!

Same here. My 16GB white has been listed as backordered, but is now listed as processing
Do not worry AT ALL with the T&C email. If you accepted over the phone, then you might not, and SHOULD NOT get one...But then again you might. I spoke with a rep who was really cool and spoke like he knew exactly what was going on (as much as any CSR could I guess). I called because I keep getting duplicate emails from AT&T. He said DO NOT worry about duplicate emails. He said I could call every time I got a duplicate email if it made me feel better but my order is 100% fine. I also asked him about the T&C email (That I never got). He said when I ordered on line I accepted the TC and I wont be getting one via email. He said the next email I will get will be tracking info. BUT he did say there have been so many problems with duplicate, automated emails going out. He said half his calls are from people getting duplicate emails.
So my point is, if you accepted the T&C over the phone, you won't get it via email. You are already done with that part. And don't worry about it. Your order has progressed from the "Backordered" state to "Pending Shipment". You are all good....Hopefully
