AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Pre-ordered at 4:00AM CST 10/07 still no update

I placed my order at 4:00AM CST on friday morning, considering AT&Ts and Apples site were both having issues I thought that I had gotten my pre order in rather early. My credit card has been charged, but I have not seen any change to my order since I placed the order and it says back ordered....can I still expect the "Delivered October 14" to be true?

Tis my understanding that nearly everyone who ordered on Friday will have it on time.
 
Really stressing out here... First my order said processing, then earlier today it said preparing for shipment-i showed my bf and he remembers, so it wasn't my imagination... But an hour after that, it was back to processing!😕

Now, i do have a confirm email that says it'll be delivered the 14th, my status is no upgrade available, and i checked my bank account just now and the amount of the phone is unavailable... Do you reckon Im ok?
 
I'd just like to make a comment about this thread, Isn't this thread supposed to be for orders made from AT&T? People are mixing in orders made from both Apple and AT&T. There should be a separate thread made for orders directly from Apple. It is too confusing otherwise to see people talking statuses when you are not sure if they bought from Apple or AT&T.

Good point. But since I ordered my AT&T iPhone 4S from Apple, I'll post here. 🙂

Just checked and mines in HK, scheduled for delivery on Friday by end of day. I am an AT&T Premier customer and had an issue ordering at 4am EST on Fri morning from both Apple and AT&T's site, got errors at Apple, P1234 Error at AT&T's site. Woke back up at 7am and was able to successfully place an order through Apple's website.

mine is the same...
 
Depending on what you look at, the order status can be a bit confusing. On the Order Summery screen, mine says shipment status "BackOrdered" yet the item status for everything is "Processing." If you go to the Order Status screen, the shipment status is "Pending."

I would think I am good since I pre-ordered through AT&T around 4:30 am EST after the Apple site and app failed. Kind of sad though, this is the first iPhone that I haven't pre-ordered through Apple. 😛
 
Status

Mine just changed from back ordered to processing.😀 Ordered mine from AT&T around 5:30am Friday morning.
 
I ordered two - one through our AT&T company account (ordered from AT&T early morning by phone since it didn't show up on the 'company' page, and the secretary was for 2 hours on hold) and one (also AT&T) through the Apple webpage (ordered late afternoon)

both are in 'preparing for shipment' - both show Oct 14 as delivery date.

(both are white 16GB iPhone 4s with AT&T)

One was ordered by phone from the AT&T (~8am EST) , one from the apple webpage (~5pm EST) - For both it took a few hours to get the confirmation (so that I already got worried) but they eventually were sending the confirmation.

Shipped Status!

Received email from apple store @ 1:57am today that my 32gb black iPhone has shipped. They provided ups tracking #. Current status is In Transit On Time. Current location as Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong. Scheduled delivery is 10/14.

Ordered mine on 10/7 @ 2:44am.

If you pre ordered from Apple.com for an AT&T iPhone 4S shouldn't you still be able to post in this thread seeing there isn't one for Apple.com orders?

Ordered around 11am Friday
Currently "processing"

I really was hoping they'd use fedex. Where I am (just outside Dallas), fedex usually shows up around 10:30AM. Ups not until around 3:30-5. Yeah, I know, #firstworldproblems. Less time spent on the truck is always better. 🙂
 
in China?

Ordered at 02:00 on the first day of pre orders. Apple emailed me today and said it has shipped "from China" but it is currently in Hong Kong

Delivery Date is this Fri!!!😎

Ordered from ATT 8am eastern Friday. Got an email later that day saying there were issues authorizing my payment. I didn't see this message until Saturday. Called in and the rep told me they were reprocessing orders over the last two days for those placed during a specific time due to a system issue. They couldn't tell me anything about what was happening with my order with regards to whether I was losing my place in line or not.

Now my account shows one order on the 7th that is still awaiting authorization and another order on the 8th that is cancelled.

I called in again yesterday an the rep told me everything looks fine in the system but couldn't give me any info about when my order would arrive.

ATT blows. Last year I had to stand in line for 13 hours to get a phone because their systems kept going down on preorder day. They get this every year. Don't you think they would know how to prep their systems by now to handle the volume.!?😡
