AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

I placed my order over the phone on Friday, 10/7 @ around 10am for the new iPhone 4s 16GB Black. I didn't receive my Terms and Conditions till Saturday, 10/8 @ around 2pm. (which I confirmed in about 10 mins) I received an e-mail yesterday, 10/10 with an order confirmation saying that my iPhone will be shipped in approximately 21-28 days. But when I check my order online, it says Date Created 10/10 with "Status: In Progress" and "Pending Shipment." Interestingly enough it does not say that I am on back order.

Does anyone have an idea when I will be receiving the package?

Wonder if anybody has read these? If we are agreeing again, I assume something changed. I bet if we want the iPhone we just signed away our bodies as batteries for future smartphone owners when the iPhone 20 comes out.
 
I have a question about the T&C.

Okay first of

1. I am on AT&T premier
2. I order on the phone by dialing 611
3. It was at 6am Mountain Time (8am Eastern Time)
4. Payed with Credit Card this year instead of debit card
5. The lady gave me an ordering number
6. Order the 64GB Black

About an hours and half I got an email saying "Thank you for your recent order. Your iPhone has been reserved and is expected to be delivered on 10/14/2011*. As soon as your device ships, we will send an email confirmation including a tracking number for your convenience"

The status says "In Progress" but I'm still on backorder and "Pending Shipment"

I think I might be screw since I never got an email about T&C she said I will get an email about it :( But she said over the phone if I do agree to the two-year comment I said yes so I'm :confused: now

I check my credit card it says it pending transfer for the amount the phone going to be on my card for the last two days now.
 
So in the mean time in waiting for order updates, I was actually able to do something productice.

I haven't had a iphone since 2009 and I forgot the apple ID I was using to purchase my apps with - well I was able to get intouch with apple and they gave me the information for me to redownload the apps that I purchased 2 years ago so that I wouldn't have to repurchase apps! YESSS

I had a pending charge from Friday until Monday - authorized holds is gone funds will be taken when my phone ships

When you go to the AT&T site when does it say the order was made on the status page? I ordered on 10/7 over the phone but didn't get T&C email until 10/10. When I check the status on AT&T it says I didn't order until 10/10. I hope this doesn't affect when my iPhone is shipped.

With iCloud you would be able to see all the apps you ever purchased. You would, of course, need to know your Apple ID though.

same with me. but I'm not on back order, mine is Pending Shipment.

What I don't get is why ATT doesn't put some clear wording on all of their order sites... Instead of showing "back ordered" which freaks people out, they should put "awaiting shipment from apple" or "in warehouse, pending shipment". The order status page should say, "your order is expected to arrive on the xxth, however this is not guaranteed".

It just seems like a little bit more info would save them thousands of phone calls, and associated costs...

If you call 1-866-391-0749 it will tell you that. And it's an automated system, so you won't be on the phone for more than a minute. Just have your order number handy.

I called the number. It said my preorder was processed and is being held in their warehouse until the shipment date.

I called but I have 4 different order numbers:

premier order #
ATT order #

x 2 phones

They could not find my ATT order number, but I entered the premier # and they told me to please wait for a CSR. My order is listed as in progress/pending shipment and that it was placed on 10/7

I called too and entered my cell number and I am on hold for a rep.
