I spoke to an AT&T rep before I gave her my order number she said no order would ship before 10/14. I sure hope this isn't true. Maybe they are telling the troops to under promise.

AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

FYI. I got an email overnight that my Iphone shipped. I checked this morning on the status check website (not premier) and it is marked as shipped, shipping date=10/11/2011, and I have a Fedex tracking number. When I tracked it via Fedex its eta is tomorrow. Excited to say the least
Interesting. I really, REALLY want FedEX to get my darn shipping info up (I have a tracking number) so I can see my ETA
Does anyone have an UPS/FedEx tracking number that you can actually track in their system yet? I'm curious where the phones are shipping from.
I ordered by phone around 9AM on Friday morning, got my acceptance letter, but have never been able to track it on-line in order update in my account or the url provided in the letter. Have called several times and they say the order is there and it shows up on my phone app with the telephone number. I tried again this morning and now I can't even get through to customer service on the phone- totally frustrated!!
I called 611 and it says backordered. WTF. I ordered on Friday at 2pm EST (and got my confirmation email at the same time). Far before the 5 pm cut off everyone was mentioning. How on earth is mine backordered??

Mine is the same but a 64gb white! No progress whatsoever here... AT&T is being dumb
does anyone's order (who ordered after 4:00 pm EST) have a "0" in their backordered field? or is everyone who ordered after that time still a "1"?

my order has shipped. 16gb black. does anyone else have a 10/8 ship date? earliest Ive seen. I did my pre-order on 10/7 9am eastern. tracking number does not work yet, as expected.
Premier customer. Ordered on 10/7 @ 4:51PM. I got a FedEx tracking number this morning and regular AT&T order status it says it shipped on 10/11, but the tracking number doesn't work yet. Strangely I haven't gotten an email and the premier site still says pre-ordered.

I ordered in a radio shack where I'm from, got a guarantee from the rep, they are being sent so many phones, when I pre ordered Monday, it saved one of those phones for me, they haven't had enough pre orders, to take all the phones so you could actually go in and buy one and they would have one to sale you. On th 14th.
I ordered through AT&T over the phone and my status says Backordered. I got the 16G white and ordered before 5:30 on Friday. Wtf. As long as I get it Friday, I'm fine.
My confirmation email (from ATTOrderStatus) had a link in it - www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus
I am an existing customer, so I'm also able to check the order by logging into my AT&T account on the site, though the link provided in the email seems to be more up to date with information (my online account doesn't have the tracking number yet)
Not sure if that makes a difference.
Now this is making me worry. I'm a premier customer too and I ordered two hours before you, but it says on the AT&T order status that I ordered the 9th. Did your's say that too? On premier it says the 7th though...this is so bizarre.
ATT Chat rep is still repeating same thing:
