I know I am a newb here but I read frequently. I ordered a 16GB Black 4S on Saturday 10/8 at 9:15AM and received a tracking number. Shows it shipped on 10/10! When I try to use the tracking number nothing shows up tho.

The tracking info will not be "trackable" until they run their "end of day" or whatever they call it. We ship UPS all day long and send tracking #'s out as orders are shipped. But until I finish the day and run my drivers "end of day" report, all the tracking will show up as "not available". So I almost certain, that once Fed-Ex picks up at the warehouse today (most likely late this afternoon), tracking #'s will go live.
3 orders on premier for business on 10/7, and no further info for all three (they all show as "pre-order"), all three also show as "pending shipment" and backordered qty as "0" though.![]()

My wish is that AT&T will fix this so that in the future I am able to check all our devices from a single order in one pane of glass.
Mine wasn't able to track on fedex site either, so I made a call to fedex and the guy told me that they have the package in the their facility and will be shipping it out on the 13 so we should see activity by tomorrow. Hopefully everyone get it on Friday.
My wife and I ordered a 32black and a 64black at the same time, 5:00am on the 7th. The 32 has already passed through Alaska, the 64 still says "Preparing for shipment". But has an arrival date of Oct 14. What's up with that?

searching for the UPS tracking number format I found the following. Not sure how acurate it is, bu the 9th and 10th position is important for shipping method.
The first two characters must be "1Z".
The next 6 characters we fill with our UPS account number "XXXXXX".
The next 2 characters denote the service type:
"01" for Next Day Air shipments.
"02" for Second Day Air shipments.
"03" for Ground shipments.

Mine is self-explanatory. I ordered around 4am from AT&T and I have no fear that it won't show up on Friday. I have to say that these threads provide me hours of entertainment. It is like this at every launch. Those of you horrified at the whining, never fear....just let it roll off your back.
