AT&T said when I called their automated service that my phone was at a warehouse waiting to be shipped, but nothing has been shipped yet. I ordered at 4am on 10/7 and it has been processing since Saturday. I am beginning to think I won't be getting it Friday.

me too - we need a support group.
 
I decided to go ahead and upgrade from my iPhone 4. Question. I ordered today, the 12th, and it said on AT&T's website 21-28 days and I would be charged the day it would ship. I was charged today and received an email that the order was sent to the warehouse for processing. Think this it will ship right away?

searching for the UPS tracking number format I found the following. Not sure how acurate it is, bu the 9th and 10th position is important for shipping method.

The first two characters must be "1Z".
The next 6 characters we fill with our UPS account number "XXXXXX".
The next 2 characters denote the service type:
"01" for Next Day Air shipments.
"02" for Second Day Air shipments.
"03" for Ground shipments.

No that is a hold to verify funds it will drop off then charge will go through when it is shipped.

were you charged, or is it a pending charge, a pending charge means they are just checking if its a legit credit card then they will realease and ship 21-28 days from now
 
Good news! My white 16GB just shipped. The tracking number still shows nothing but that's expected.

I ordered from AT&T at 8:00AM Oct. 7 over the phone. I'm sure you guys will receive your shipping notices soon.

I pre-ordered my white Iphone 16gb at 3:00am CST 10/7 via AT&T (not premiere)
My status changed to shipped over night with a ship date of 10/9

I called Fedex with the tracking number and the CSR said it was a freight tracking number and that my phone was part of a larger shipment that wouldn't be updated until tomorrow. She said I should be issued a new tracking number tomorrow.
 
ordered over the phone got tracking nmber!

I ordered a 32gb white which is still on backordered. HOwever 16gb black has shipped via fedex! Place order on phone @ 330 am oct7. hoping 32gb white will ship also :) What a relief. I was worried since i have not been able to track my order online. I get the error message as others do unable to locate please wait 24 hours.
 
did you go to http://www.att.com/accounts/ then log in like you're paying a wireless bill, then click on My Orders?

the website in their email to premier customers is almost worthless.

Totally agree with the above. I ordered approx 3am (central ) Oct 7th via AT&T premiere website. When I check my order at www.wireless.att.com/business/order_status/ it says a status of "pre-order" and not shipped. However if I log in to my at&t wireless account and select "my orders" it shows shipped Oct 9th and a Fed Ex tracking number (that is not yet working)
 
My black 16gb went to shipped this morning sometime but Fedex doesn't have any tracking info yet and there is no word on the order when I should get it. The white 16gb went to processing from backordered as well this morning. So, I'm thinking I'll get the black one on Friday and possibly the white one as well, but I won't be expecting it.
 
Shipped!!

Ordered on AT&T website at 630 am cst on 10/7. Received confirmation email around 545 pm 10/7. Status on AT&T order status page changed to shipped this morning, says shipped on 10/9 through fedex, tracking info not yet found through the link supplied on my att order status page.. Friday can't come sooner!!!
 
Do you already have tracking numbers and know which carriers you have?? Yeah, they really need to fix that because now we have to wait for different carriers...i really dont trust UPS at all...and even more if they plan on leaving my phone without a signature!

This is accurate. It begs the question though, will these things be shipped tonight or tomorrow? Time will tell.

Yeah. I mean, it's kind of obvious in the wording I am just a bit shocked it is being processed immediately. I was expecting 3-4 weeks considering I ordered today, about 1 hour ago...
 
I just got an e-mail from AT&T about 20 minutes ago saying my iPhone has shipped.

Sure enough, on the AT&T site I get this now:

Mine shipped on the 9th. I bought the iPhone 4S White 16 GB through AT&T. It's coming through FedEx but I can't use the tracking number for some reason.

I got this email as well as checked my status on att website. I can almost feel the iphone in my hand now

Ugh I have "13 - UPS United States Next Day Air Saver ("Red Saver")" which delivers by 3-4:30pm. Unfortunately I'm leaving for Atlanta on Friday at 12pm...is there any way I can call UPS and have them change it to early AM?

Yeah, my AT&T status page says it's been shipped, with a UPS tracking number. The UPS site does not recognize the number, though. Hopefully I will be able to start tracking it shortly!

Does anyone know whether they use overnight or 2-day?
